Loved this style! I did someting similar without a hair rat a few years back and it took me half my life. Love that the styles you create are actually wearable too...trust me, I had cute little braids and ribbons in the other day and they went down a storm! I directed people to yourself, of course:)

ive also heard this referred to as a gibson roll and an edwardian style. judy garland has her hair like this in the little known movie summer stock with gene kelly.

@OldHollywoodJunkie7 thanks for the information! I looked at the film stills of Summer Stock and didnt see Judy's hair rolled. It looked more like a curly flip. Perhaps I missed the photos/look you meant? I'm very interested for any references to this hairstyle, so thanks again.

@BerlinHairBaby it's sort of a curly flip but to me it looks like they rolled it up. it's a very even look all the way around the sides and back of her head and it looks like it rolls in. im not sure, i could be wrong, it maybe depends on the shots. im not sure of too many others but if i see one i'll mention it to you :) Lisa Freemont Street did it as a Gibson Roll tutorial a long time ago, where she used a rat on the back but twisted the sides. Elegantly amused had something similar as well.
