  • huge!

  • fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk ahah i thought we were gunna go to war at 0:51

  • we can go really high but I'm already high ;)

  • doesn't have any soul.....

  • @eatrocksah im pretty sure the soul is lost through it being a recording. you would have to hear it in person for sure

  • i know its all preference but i think this snare speaks best at medium range !

  • you suck at tuning...

  • @BreakB97598

thats unnecessary...and ur wrong he is great at tuning!

  • does the mic come with the snare drum ;)???

  • @xxxnityninexxx hell no.

  • @KYOOBED Why not? That snare drum costs a lot, the microphone should come with it.

  • @xxxnityninexxx it costs a lot because it is a dunnett

  • @xxxnityninexxx ok, well you really cant compare the two. youtube compresses all videos so a lot of the sound quality is lost...i'm also positive that your starphonic is not 14 x 8. and you really cant compare a bubinga snare to a rolled, seemless stainless steel shell.

  • Whoa!!!!

  • extreme lower tuning is my favorite. i love the body it gives out. id probably end up putting a moon gel on it to get rid of that low ring though

  • Great demonstration! Thanks for all the different tunings!

  • I love fat tones... :D

  • Hey shane,

I notice you do a lot of rim shots, what sticks to you recommend for rim shots? i do a lot of them and haven't found one stick that held up for a while.

    Thanks

  • I have a couple of tips:

Big sticks. The laws of physics dictate that a thicker stick will be harder to break.

Harder wood. Most drumsticks are Hickory, which is a very hard wood, but it is possible to find sticks made of harder ones. Bear in mind that other woods like Oak or Maple which some sticks are made of are softer than Hickory and break easier.

There isn't really much to do, except for get heavier sticks (a harder wood will be heavier) or lay off the rim shots.

    Hope this helps :)

  • more mass=more momentum= more resistance duh

  • @thejohnlaco

Load up on 2B "Tree Trunk" sticks. :) Either that or get some Stick Saver Hoops *S-Hoops for short*.

  • when you tune the drum for the video(extreme low to extreme high), do you just tighten the batter side or the resonant side too?

  • @eminem0710

The reso head stays the same tension during all these different tunings.

  • @DrumCenterNH do you think you could change that? I love the different tunings, but I have noticed that the snare side could use some tightening for the higher tunings. It sounds sort of flat and lifeless. Still sounds great overall!

  • OMG" I have been looking for a 8x 14' metal snare drum forever. That baby is badass.

  • We'll have one in stock shortly. Hit me up if you are interested, as it will go quickly!

  • what os the price

  • At the top right of the screen, I have that exact kit. Mapex Meridian Birch.

  • 1st medium tuning is the most versatile , that you can play most musical genres, i think..

  • wow. The extreme low even sounded good. I was skeptical
