you guys are arguing which car is better, it just depends on your preference, for the money, the performance is bigger bang for the buck with the s2000, its more reliable, it has a more efficient engine, it makes the most hp per cyclinder out of any production natural aspirated car, handling is superior. now if you have the money, the ferrari is a beautiful work of art, it is high performance and sexy and definitely attracts attention, it is a woman magnet.

The guy in the S is clearly a better driver. The S2000 is an incredibly capable car on the track, and he is working 100x harder to keep the car planted in the turns (I should know, I drive one). The effort in the 360cs is almost nil. Had the F cars been driven by competent drivers, the S would have never been able to keep up. Cool vid.

I'm test driver and, let me say, all the fantastic handling in a Focus is pure electronic, and if ESP is badly calibrated (like early Focus MK2) is a real rubbish to drive.
Also I've read that the CMP Gearbox (Citroën C4) is really good... believe me, that's the last gearbox I would have in my life...
You should know, that every test driver drives the car with ESP off.
Just to spice things up Focus RS mk1 ... no electronics and handled better than CTR, 4wd WRX impreza and lot others ... but I do admit it has great LSD.

That S2000 is too loud to be stock. Its a tuned one. And it can very well keep up if the engine is tuned right and a good final drive ratio. ITs a very tight course so those ferrari's can get up to speed fast enough because of their gearing I am sure...

Look at lap times from a realiable source for the NSX & S2K. Then compare to a Modena or even a Challenge Stradale for your answer. I hope you know those best motoring videos are biased towards Jap cars as well. All great cars really.
I used to think the same thing, an S2000 is well designed to handle corners. It's balanced 50/50 and a 2.2l 237hp. As long as it involves braking and cornering, which the track has a lot of curves it will have the advantage. Check out some of the videos on youtube of stocked s2k's in lap battles on the Tsukuba circuit against cars like the 350Z, M3,Z4 etc. It's a very well engineered car. Yah it's proably modified, but by how much is hard to determine. So I'm not going to make something up. :)
That is some nice driving in one quick S2K, but those Stradale's aren't being pushed quite soo hard.
& Who pays for the damages if, for whatever reason, this S2000 bumps into 1 of those Stradale's? Say cause of oil on the track, driver error or he happens to have a seizure on the brakes. I assume its a race at your own risk kinda deal, but what would happen if i took my $200 dollar jetta to the track & went around purpously bumping Ferrari's & Porshe's on the track???
You guys are wrong about the specs of the modenas. They have 3.6L V8s not 5.0L V10s. The s2000 is lighter than the ferraris, so the entrance speed into the corners is much faster.
Some of ya'll don't get whats going on. The Ferrari Modena has a 12-cylender engine, an S2000 only has a 4-cylender. It may seem unfair, but the S2000 weighs a lot less, which gives it an advantage to handle turns better. All depends on the track though. For example if they raced on a cicular track the Ferrari would win easily. Props to the guy driving the S2000 though, good job.
i give props to the driver. He has good control of the car. It was just the S2000 was underpowered against those two 360's. You can definitely tell on the straightaways.
It doesn't look like the 360's are trying very hard in the corners. Looks like they're going just fast enough to stay in front of the S2000 to take advantage of they're superior acceleration.
That has to be incredibly frustrating. You can tell the honda is quite good in the corners, but the straights the horses just gallop away. I'll bet if he was in the same Ferrari, he would have been all over them. Drive it like you stole it!!

Honda corners nicely but with a near perfect front : rear weight ratio you would expect this car to handle the corners. Those 360's still weren't getting used to their full potential otherwise all the s2000 driver would be seing is the road infront of him. Good driving by the S2000 driver.
Seems like the Honda driver is ready to step up to something with more horses - and the Ferrari drivers should step down - does not look like they can take the corners with any guts! Nice video.

this just show a Honda S2K was well balanced and light weight car that can handle the corners from entrance to exiting the corners compare to a heavy car like Ferrari that is built for power on the straights and good at exiting out the corner but bad at entering corner.

Actually, I've been trying to compliment Honda this whole time. First, by reminding people of their past accomplishments, like the great Acura NSX. I also mentioned the impressive power output of the S2000's small, 4-cylinder engine.

remember the f20c is the engine used in f1 race cars...
honda uses two of them in the race cars...and one in the s2k. fully built internal s2k with either boost or blown will smoke exotics .

I'd be more likely to take my chance and drive more agresive in that less expensive Honda than risk damaging a machine like a Stradale.

look it up a modena is a v8 not a v10 or v12, and the s2000 started off as a 2.0L but after 03 or 04 they went to a 2.2L

1. The Honda driver is better that the ferrari driver( you can hear when the Honda driver accelerate in the turns)

You guys are wrong about the specs of the modenas. They have 3.6L V8s not 5.0L V10s. The s2000 is lighter than the ferraris, so the entrance speed into the corners is much faster.

Some of ya'll don't get whats going on. The Ferrari Modena has a 12-cylender engine, an S2000 only has a 4-cylender. It may seem unfair, but the S2000 weighs a lot less, which gives it an advantage to handle turns better. All depends on the track though. For example if they raced on a cicular track the Ferrari would win easily. Props to the guy driving the S2000 though, good job.

i give props to the driver. He has good control of the car. It was just the S2000 was underpowered against those two 360's. You can definitely tell on the straightaways.

It doesn't look like the 360's are trying very hard in the corners. Looks like they're going just fast enough to stay in front of the S2000 to take advantage of they're superior acceleration.

That has to be incredibly frustrating. You can tell the honda is quite good in the corners, but the straights the horses just gallop away. I'll bet if he was in the same Ferrari, he would have been all over them. Drive it like you stole it!!

Honda corners nicely but with a near perfect front : rear weight ratio you would expect this car to handle the corners. Those 360's still weren't getting used to their full potential otherwise all the s2000 driver would be seing is the road infront of him. Good driving by the S2000 driver.

this just show a Honda S2K was well balanced and light weight car that can handle the corners from entrance to exiting the corners compare to a heavy car like Ferrari that is built for power on the straights and good at exiting out the corner but bad at entering corner.
but above all, i would say it's a great vid and good display on your driving skills on your S2k!

Such is the scale of an s2000's handling, he is catching the ferraris under braking and cornering... Maybe the ferrari drivers are a little scared to "throw" their cars around however?? ... great video though, thanks for this!!!

who cares whether the ferrari drivers were or were not pushing their cars. Just take the video for what it is, a fast S2000 racing against ferrari's. its a sweet video. don't have to knock either side. everyone here knows a ferrari is exotic and the S2000 isn't.

idont get the dude with the camera was racing in an s2000? It makes sense the car is so light thats why he was cutting in on the corners but then the straight away comes well he looses yard and yard...but still sweet.

Honda can really make a good sports car when it wants to. The amount of power the S2000 makes is crazy!

That said...Acura NSX's ARE great cars. They are the perfect car, or very near to it. I wish I could drive one. Even riding in one would be awesome.

Actually, I've been trying to compliment Honda this whole time. First, by reminding people of their past accomplishments, like the great Acura NSX. I also mentioned the impressive power output of the S2000's small, 4-cylinder engine.
I don't understand why people are offended by what I've been saying. It's all opinion in the end anyway, so none of it really matters.
