@bibblebob What do you mean? I've rewatched the series and it still holds up. One great thing about this show was how the demon headmaster actually believed that he was doing was for the good of humanity. That's actuallly scary. It's like that saying "We're from the government and we're here to help you." I think it's mainly because of this that this show is a classic and it taught kids about questioning authority. Can't say anything similar about kids shows now and that's a shame.

It's not so much the theme (which as you said is a good one), it's just all of the child actors. None of them look like characters you could possibly take seriously! Also, why didn't kids parents think "hmm, my son has started acting like a Gestapo captain, maybe I should look in to what the fuck is happening at school?!".

@bibblebob Well they don't look particularly odd to me if that's what you mean. And I think for child actors they're not bad some of them play their parts quite well. As for when these kids are at home with their parents they probably don't act like they do when they're at school. The prefects for example are just supposed to keep a watch on the other children and punish them if they have to. I doubt the demon headmaster told them to do the same with their parents.

For example, if you look at the series logo in the opening credits, it's squeezed into the shape of an oval, but the logo is supposed to be a perfect circle. The intro uploaded by nostalgia90kids has the correct aspect ratio. It's under "The Demon Headmaster Intro - 1996." Check it out, and you'll see what I mean. It's really cool that you uploaded this series, but I don't want to watch it if the image is distorted. It's too distracting.

@Ravagad I missed this when it was shown on CBBC though I did like to watch the odd programme on CBBC such as Even Stevens. It's relevant to adults as well as children as it shows how there are sociopathic megalomaniacs in any walk of life whose only desire is to take over the world. At the time I was reading His Dark Materials which has a similar storyline though set in Oxford University in a different universe.
