  • EXTREME DUTY...lmfao

  • this looks relatively easy to build in a well equipped metal workshop... O_o

  • @MrJohnDevour How else are they made, lol. If you have access to a lathe, you can make a lot of stuff. Hell, for 10x more effort you could do it 100% by hand, no lathe required.

  • @wolfy9005

Well.. to clarify, I was meaning that it's funny that the USA regulates so strictly something that pretty much anyone could make at home, you know, you need tons of paperwork and background check in USA to legally own a suppressor :D

  • @MrJohnDevour Yeah, and there are easier ways to make it than this. But from what I can see, it is just a bunch of stainless steel machined into some "cups" with a hole in the bottom so let the bullet go through, thus becoming baffles.

You could probably cast the inside how you want it, using the "lost wax method" and brass, requiring only a cover to contain the sound. It only requires candles, some small files and brass.

  • How about a demonstration of how effective it is? I've seen cans that are little more than decoration and have little effect on noise reduction.

  • That spanner wrench is available from Harbor Freight for 4.99. Dont over pay :)

  • I would never take that can into combat, the QD screw sticking out the side would get bent or shear off in combat. Sorry I will run a M4-2000

  • @MrBlackwater1979 they DO have a thread mount version of this

  • you guys got a faster attachment method other than that big screw like a retained pin?

  • @Ateisticki soooooooo glad they brought beavis and butt head back. and they didnt fuck it up or try to make it different, i laugh just as hard as i did years ago.

  • nice m17s

  • yea I hate this state. I would like to get the hell out of here I'm a sharpshooter in jrotc n want to shot for olympics but I have to go through a lot of problems got to get a m14 or 15 7.62 and all that crap. Then take it to gun shop n gunsmith stupid laws man they keep adding crap arizona has almost no gun laws. I hate california cause to much crap for a gun

  • @roytron Explain your issue more clearly please? The only problems you would encounter when trying to buy a firearm is the standard background check, 10 day waiting period and limitations on NFA items such as illegal length rifles and carbines, fully automatic weapons and things such as .50 caliber rifles. M-14s(civilian model is the M-1A) are completely legal, as long as you don't use a magazine that contains more than 10 rounds.

  • good review - i own two of these!

  • nice, we can duplicative the design at home, like how human been doing since the beginning of time.

  • stupid ass california lol. man so many gun laws lol

  • @roytron Once I get my M.A., I'm leaving this shit hole of a state so I can get the goddamn bullet buttons off my rifles.

  • He said "unit."

  • @ten8goa Is that a Beavis and Butthead referrence I smell?

  • wow its easy to clean too

  • grinder disk tool ...smart

  • These suppressors can be had in 6.8mm SPC (.270) so long as you gave a Standard A1 or A2 Flash Hider on your Savage 99 it should work like a champ!

  • Can you make one of these for a Model 99/250 savage ?

  • Hmm mounted onto a G36 i see . Nice!

  • What is the reduction in db's I didn't hear that in this video.

  • i love silencers

  • extreme dudy!

  • Do i spot a baffle strike on the first baffle out?

  • @colonelvonfox Good call man i did not notice the first time i watched but i deff see in now!!! Pause at 1:58.

  • @mcjoewyatt It is not a baffle strike. Look on all of the baffles. It is a cutout in the orifice, which redirects gas laterally, improving the "catch" of high speed gasses by directing them into the corners / sides of the can. If you look carefully, there are similar cutouts on all of the baffles. I know this is a design feature on man cans. I am not familiar with this particular can, but I am 95% certain that I am correct.

  • @mcjoewyatt 1:58 2:12 (identical cutout on 2nd baffle) 2:!3 (and 3rd) 2:16 (and 4th and 5th). You can see them better in some of the closeups like 3:04. He talks about them at 3:30 & calls them "slots."

I have experimented with those designs a bit & in theory they should help quite a lot. In reality I found no measurable difference, but the angle of the baffle cone & height of the crown made quite a difference.

  • Couple of suggestions. One ( looks nicer with the holes for the wrench ) machining a knarled end cap makes field cleaning possible. One less tool to carry and/or lose. And a adapter to fit over the bayonet fitting. Nice and clean.

  • cut to the chase dude, its boring.

  • Is that a standard size spanning wrench?
