You know what is good music when 13 years have passed since the first time you hear it, and from time to time your head just remembers the melody from a music for some reason. That's one of those. Jester Race is the best melodic death metal album i know. Other bans i remember from this period is deftones, NIN, QOSA , Smashing Pumpkins. i already miss being a teenager.

@Troobudd album anders joined was colony. in 98-99. listen to colony, and up. you will notice a big difference in the vocals. not really growling, more scream/yelling. i actually like it better cause its not just "heavy". but thats my opinion, everyone has their own.

are u sure ? on a site where i found the lyrics of this song it says that "burok, jesper and glenn" are singing, but i wanted to know whos singing the "main"part. and this doesnt really sound like anders ^^ ive never heard him singing like that

The lyrics may have been written by burok, jesper and glenn but Anders performed them. This was his 1st album with In Flames and he actually used mostly death growls unlike today.

Nice to see another fan of this song. Most people like it, but they never really consider it a favorite. This song by itself led me away from all the generic hard/metal-core that was all I ever listened to, so maybe that makes me biased, but I love it.
