would have been good eating if it was 15 " that was a big trout weight ??? i have caught 4 over 27" Bigest being 29" but that one was the smallest by weight just curious
You are looking a spotted sea trout (Cynoscion nebulosus), look it up. That is what we call them down here in the lower laguna madre, "speckled trout". I caught her north of Port Mansfield near the mouth of the landcut in the flats to the left if your traveling north. I caught her on live shrimp under a alameda popping cork. I caught this fish in April 2008. HEY squidt420 STFU!!!

i caught a 32 inch trout in the surf that looked like a tuna. full of eggs. never wieghed it(at least 12 lbs- i promise its at least that its extremely fat, really didnt even think i was a trout when i netted,anyways it was one week before the CCA tourney and a for sure no doubt win(got it mounted)!
