  • i'm a ford fan, and i have a 2012 i can't find a ta that will run me motor to motor that all stock or even close to stock. hell most of the ones on nitrous only want to give you maybe a car if you're racing the 1/4 mile. not taking anything away from chevy the ls motors are nice, but a good tuned foxbody will turn just as good times with less hp most of the time.

  • @vdean2010 really? were talk'n about 10yrs difference b/t a tivct 5.0 and the LS1... which first debuted in fall of 1996 in the C5 vette. most TAs came with a 3.23 rear at that. i love the tivct 5.0 but comparing to an Fbody TA is not the best comparison. the only reason a foxbody can turn decent times is because you can find LXs that only weigh around 3000-3100lbs, besides that most are slow... and most that run the strips use gm smallblocks

  • You said it right turbo v6,v4. Highly pressurized usually, not always but a lot vids on here guys are running 20 to 30 psi of boost. Do that to a v8 and your v6, v4 will never touch it.

  • @hemiowner105 Same with GM's own product. Their own LS1 engine from 97 matches up pretty well against what the camaros have today. Not the case with ford. Their 2011 engine demolishes their V8 from 97. Not taking away anything from GM whom has made strong V8's in their sports/muscle cars since the LT1...But a 2011 Camaro and 2011 Challenger would have about the same close outcome vs this modded LS1

  • @Punisher7121 2010 6speed camaro vs my 99 formula 6 speed was pretty close, i had just an exhaust. i doubt this trans am was "modded" much..all the new "sports" cars are just too heavy for the hp they have. im done with the cars,, gonna try to hotrod a truck this time an kill some cars with it,lol.

  • @hemiowner105 And not too far down the road our current sports/muscle cars as new are going to experience the 1st decline in HP from a previous year since the 70's. With some emissions laws that passed a few years...I read an article about the Corvette set to lose a little HP, and sader there are rumors the 6 cylinder Camaro will be replaced with a 4 cylinder turbo...And that is shit, the turbo isnt going to save it from being a dud....Look at the 4 cylinder turbo Genesis vs the V6 model....

  • @Punisher7121 the new camaros an challengers really anything special, an the ne 5.0 is bad ass, alot better than the old ones, my first car was a 1994 5.0, i know they have come along way, just sux it took ford this long to come out with this new engine this should have cae out with the ls1 engines in the 98-02 f bodies...sp i fully agree with ur statement.

  • @TotalTQ .7 liters isnt even enough to be called "bigger that gm engine hasnt been used since what 03? mabey 04?? ford should have made the mustang with this engine back in 98. im still not impressed ive seen turbo 6 cylinder engines beat v8" even lil 4 bangers.. so the size of the engine really doesnt mean anything.. that mustang wasnt stock by any means either. sorry not impressed with the whole "new 5.0 is the shit!" concept that evrybody seems to have because it is new.

  • i have a LS1 camaro that makes only 322rwhp that runs 11's with a 1.54 60ft. i represent all LS1 cars from here out.... if any 5.0's want to try me, im not far from memphis. we can go to Dynospeed put my car on the dyno, verify the power, then head to the track... it only have, stall, gear, full exhaust, airlid, comp eng. rear shocks and drag radials.. this is not my youtube but, im on LS1tech! yarrie is my user!! i will also travel no more than 2 hrs to prove my point!!! LS1 still KING

  • some good races. cars are very equal. IMO. add a cam to a LS1and its game on. bolt on LS1 vs bolt on coyote isnt close at all. the few races ive done in mine werent close. H/C/I streetable LS1 will be quicker until a coyote goes H/C/I. then pretty even again. its heads the LS needs. on e85 bolt on coyotes are making 450rwhp STD.

  • If u make another video, bring someone else with u so that there are two ppl in each car. That cameraman switching car business gives a weight advantage and makes the races inaccurate.

  • RACE 6 mustang clearly won........... NOW all of these races implies to me that these cars are pretty close and a race would go either way depending on the jumps, wheelspin, reaction times, etc... Now there is now reason for any1 2 cry like a child becuz of my comments I was simply stating the facts that are in this video but somehow every1 misses them!!!! :(

RACE 1 trans am had bad reaction time on 3rd horn but that don't matter thats his own fault (however he did had a passenger) RACE 2 mustang takes off b4 the ls1 was even next 2 it (how is that fair? passenger again as well) RACE 3 looked clean (passenger still in ls1) RACE 4 trans am wins by a fender (still won with a passanger) RACE 5 mustang gets pummled! (1st race that ls1 does NOT have a passenger)

  • @99jiujitsu Why would they when they have engines like the LS7. 505hp engine that regularly makes 30mpg on the highway. The LS series engines are just better all around.

  • @USMC411 lol ..single cam pushrod..LS7 427..Chevy cant compete in the dohc motors..thats why they will not build it..yeah Im going buy a 80,000 Z06 427 so i can get 30mpg..lol...the LS series is not better then the coyote 302 dude...sorry THE Ls7 is the only motor from Chevy that can compete off show room...maybe against the 4.6 ls series is better..thats sad.

  • @99jiujitsu You can actually get a 2006 ZO6 for as low as 36K. The LS1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 9 are far superior. It took Ford 13 years to make something n/a that could keep up with the LS engines. Hell the LS engines has been smoking the Terminators since 03.

  • @USMC411 how are they superior?? tel me..how about facts...thr are vids on here showing 2011 mustangs running 115mph 11.96 amd 12.10 on drag raidials..(street slicks) yeah they are launching at 5grand..with a 3:31 rear gear..the only after market part was a cold air intake..the 2011 is makeing more power then the maro (LS3)..another fact...LS1 AND LS2 have never run the numbers that the 302 2011 mustang is running..LS3 factory cant compete with the new 5.0..the only thing you have is the LS7427!

  • @kief4diamonds That's because their ls2 and ls3 successors suck ass. shit, not one of them can even beat a terminator mod for mod, they all have to be stroked to 400+ci or they are shit. who the fuck can't go fast with a 400+ci pushrod from any of the big 3? If ford puts all that they have learned from their mod engines and incorporated that knowledge into 400+ci OHC pushrods like the the 60's 427 sohc, the lsx brand would be put to shame.

  • @hugoloves2spooge ford still sells tons of 400ci+ OHV crate motors aluminum and cast iron. they are not as "high-tech" as the latest LSX motors, but, lol they are just as powerful.

    Which i why i don't buy into this GM superior pushrod technology stuff. Its crap.
