There were other wormholes in the show when the wormhole was affected by something like a Timeline shift in continuum or when the gate was powered from both ends by the cloud beings in the pegasus galaxy. and then there is the game keepers fictive wormhole...
@Alkonium In fact, all three wormholes are different. The Atlantis wormhole is green with a number of other visual effects mixed in. The SG-1 wormhole is similar to the Atlantis wormhole, but is blue, uses different sound and visual effects, and is slower moving than the Atlantis wormhole. The Universe wormhole is kind of a compromise: it uses a similar wormhole to the SG-1 wormhole, but is silver and slightly faster, and it uses the sound effects from the Atlantis wormholes.
Has anyone noticed that the new SG1/SGA wormhole has the same wormhole motion as the second half of the VFX wormhole of the old SG1 wormhole? I serious, I was comparing the two, and they both have the same wormhole travel motion if not very, very similar.
by the way in season 10 there werent the old wormhole i saw there the new wormhole :D it woud be interesting to see wraith and gua uld fightin each other :D
i beilieve since the gates of the pegasus galaxy are more advanced, they have a more efficient method of traversing wormholes. when the SGC gate first connected with the one at Atlantis, it acted as a corolative update to the rest of the milkyway gate network. thereby improving the wormhole travel. yea i know im a total geek, but does anybody have a better explination?

You missed at least one. The SHORT SG-1 version from the middle of the series that the producers used to save time.

Atlantis one wins!
The organic look of the energy fluctuations in the wall of the wormhole sells it.
Plus the sound is way cool too.

That makes sense. I still have a love for the old one, though.

I was sad when they changed the SG-1 wormhole. It was good for 8 years and then they suddenly had to change it?!
