  • are you able to have double bass pedal on DTXPress?? I really hope so

  • @dramuse29 i have had no trouble with TAMA pedals

    michaelcollins38

  • @quartzfartz No it cannot lag that's impossible !!

  • Propro!

  • Your amazing! How much did you brought them for?

  • awesome man!

  • Can u hook up a double bass to this, please help!, im going off to university an i need to find a good electronic drum set for a descent price...thanks!!??

  • Can u hook up a double bass to this please help!, im going off to university an i need to find a good electronic drum set for a descent price...thanks!!??

  • I was wondering aboutthe 3 trigger cymbal - can you set the 3 triggers to be 3 completely different things (e.g. cymbal, cowbell and sample), or will all 3 sounds be from the same symbal (base, edge and bowl) ?

  • Hello ~ I have the DTXPress IV Special, and found the song 9 Rock6,

But why my song just repeat A and B without the solo after 1:20 and Ending :( ??

Could any one tell me how to set a song with ending like this video?

  • if you want great feeling drums for a great price, get the alesis dm5 pro kit with surge cymbols :) its really good and the cymbols are a lovely addition to an already amazing kit :)

  • @Drummerz4Life282 Thats what i got man!

Excellent drum set for a ow price!

  • i actually use one of the toms as a ride cymbal and the 2 other crash or 1 china. works fine. :P but i'm considering buying 1 cymbal.

  • my pads keep falling off why is that?? theres something on the bottom and it looks like it can be tighten but idk how..can someone help??plz

  • @thefats9876 is it the big round screw? thats what thightens the pad to the bar, you kinda have to screw it in, just using your hand, no tools needed, just twist it clockwise

  • can you put a third cymbal on that module?

  • @pedrofbf to my understanding its exactly the same module as the special edition version and i have 3 cymbal pads. The extra cymbal goes through the bd pad though.

  • @Tweak222 could you explain me how to instal a third cymbal to this kit? yeah its true, special and standart edition both have the same module. thanks

  • if i had the option of a real drum set or an electronic one i would chose the real or acoustic one because then you get the actual feel of playing a real drumset that you just cant get with an electronic set, but if there was a problem with noise or whatever then i would have no problem in getting an electronic set

  • Do you like your hi hat? I want this set i'm just don't know if i would like the pad as a hi hat. Im sure the pad can be replaced with a cymbal.

  • can anyone tell me wich kit is better the yamaha dtxplorer or the yamaha dtexpress lV????

  • Dtxpress IV. But of course, it's more expensive

  • hey man, i have a question. what is the output to hook it up to the computer?

  • midi out put with midi-usb cable

  • As long as I can expand on an electric kit I have no problem with an electric kit. The only thing is I would want to expand the amount of cymbals and toms, as well as add a double pedal for when i practice metal. Can this brand do that?

  • Yes, up to 4 pads. with Hosa Y Cable.

  • here is another senerio.Say an old man (me) always wanted to play drums but is terrible.Lets say this old mans wife (my wife) gives him(me) the ultimatum to either get rid of that nasty sounding loud acustic drumset thats is driving everyone in the house mad or else&*%#@

the answer....Buy an electronic kit, put on the headphones so no one else can hear how terrible it sounds and viola! marriage saved, got my drums ,everybody happy :-)

  • @sparky42 Until you realize that they get boring eventually and want your old classic kit back. That's what happened to me :D

  • @sparky42 cool dude !! the kits can take big hits ..... michaelcollins38

  • can these kits be expanded?

  • im pretty sure

  • Yes

  • I have this one!!!

  • can you add more cymbal pads with this version?

  • Electonic drums don't suck. Think of it as using the right tool for the job. Acoustic drums are great but in a lot of situations not reasonable. Noise level, and floor space restrictions and so on. Recording situations, its easier to use than micing up a big acoustic kit. Cleaner sound.

  • @Soundman37

I agree. The only reason I keep an acoustic set around is for people who come in to record, but have never played e-drums. Some people refuse to because of a stigma. But plugging them into great software beats acoustic drums in every way.

  • @Soundman37 I have an acoustic and electric. I mainly use my electric to practice on when people are home...i've practiced at 2 in the morning for a gig the next day and no one knew. However, I would probably never use it in a live setting or to record because it's pretty low quality compared to my acoustic.

  • i like how every1 knocks on ele. drums as if its a sin to have one........well u know what electric guitar sucks too then

    electric drums electric guitars

    acoustic drums acoustic guitars

u hate one u hate the other stfu

  • I agree 100%..half of these little fuckers who say this kind of shit immediately go and listen to their TPain album with drum loops and auto-tuned vocals afterward.

  • is the bass pedal good i tried one in the shops and it was great but does anyone have any different views??? =)))

  • electric kits no doubt suck more than acoustic ones. i hav an electric. but u cant do much about neighbours complaining or than get an electric kit....

  • the feel of electric kits are not as good as acoustics. But they can sound better than acoustics because of drum software (Metal Foundry, BFD2, etc). For instance, check this out.

    /watch?v=XXqdSzLLLpo

  • i still prefer having a good feel on the drums rather than it sounding good. the more comfortable u r with a kit the better u can play. also i dont perform regularly so i dont really need my kit sounding good

  • as long as it gives the chance to practice its good right?

i wanna buy a electric but will i have difficulities when i play on a acoustic afterwards

  • it wont take u more than 10min to get used to an acoustic kit once u hop on. acoustic kits r just less compact than electric ones so all u gotta do is get used to reaching further

  • ah oke thanks. :)

  • To Guyverhoeven : yes and no. On both you can practice basics : rolls, paradiddles, patterns but the feeling is different. On a accoustic drumkit every element "reacts" in a different way : the snare has a different rebound than the floor and also you have to shape the sound. So I practive on electro at home (because neighbours) and take lessons on accoustic. I must admit that I enjoy more to play on (a good) accoustic kit...

  • In my experience with both acoustic drums and e-drums, you may need to adjust to the more solid feel (i.e., of the stick head) of acoustic drums (drums and cymbals)...I have had e-drums for a few years (after playing off-&-on on acoustic drums since late '73)...then I recently played on an acoustic set, and the "feel-sound" dynamic threw me off - I had gotten too used to the softer feel of e-drums...so there might be a minor adjustment moving either way from both types)...

  • these things are just pads with buttons, its a whole other instrument than a drum kit, it can just make drum sounds

  • I just bought this kit after selling my Pearl set, and it's amazing. Really, really good.

  • which pearl kit did you have?

  • true dat

  • That is the perfect analogy, well done : D

  • so still tottally amazing i dont think codoms do anything for less sensitivity

  • Makes sense.

  • @tofuComputer Aka more safer drum playing?

  • @teotius No, the feeling is not the same ;)

  • @teotius I think he meant, its not as enjoyable and real.

  • @tofuComputer condom? I know, cuz having a real kit is like having Aids.........?

  • ive played on one of these kits the feel is good but the pads are pretty loud

  • wud song is that?

  • one of the preloaded songs on the Yamaha DTXpress 4

  • I bought this exact kit and it is great for practice. It dont think I would be so rushed to play a live gig with it, Roland I believe produces a slightly better product for live gig but i have never played one.

  • I think you can play it live. But IMHO you have to be an expert of tweaking this module lol. The great thing about this module is there are a lot of editing capabilities. Way more than its competitors (td-4, dd506, dm5, etc).

But again, V-drums sound great right out of the box, while on Yamaha , you have to tweak it a lot :(

  • no he isnt lol xD

  • is that guy naked?

  • Nah, I can see his left shoe

  • high 5

    :D

    i´ll buy a yamaha too

    just need money

    can i get money, anyone?anyone? :D

  • No high 5 for you, ur talking pants. Roland kits are by far the best e-kits ever and still gettinig better. Mesh heads are very hard wearing and if you see a Roland kit being demoed it sounds outstanding. I have a Roland kit and it the best thing ive ever bought.

  • yea u´r right roand is way better, i play the roland td 12 in my band but i need a good an cheep set for home...

  • Roland could be better if youre getting a top-notch one that's much more expensive than any Yamaha. But as far as spending less than $3000 on an electronic kit, Yamaha's outperform Roland's amazingly.

  • nice drumming...but I still would recommend getting a roland td9-sx kit if your going electric. It's def more expensive...but well worth the money. The drum module is much better and the mesh heads give you the same feel as playing the real drums.

  • Yes.

  • Whenever Im over at my friend's house, I always play on his lil bro's Yamaha DTXpress4. It's amazing. Nothing ever slides out of place. Sounds great too.

  • Mine definitely do stay put. These DTXpress' are well made...

  • i have youst order that kit but i dont wich amp to buy a keyboard or bass amp please help some people told me fender other BEHRINGER and i dont know?!!!!!!!

  • they're about a grand... I think musician friend sells them for $999.00...

  • iT DEPENDS ON MUSiCiAN FRiEND ON WHO THEY'RE MADE BUY.......$1,199.00 iS DA HiGHEST PRiCE i SAW BUT SURE iT MORE....AND DA KiT WAS MADE BY Roland TD4S

  • how much was this

  • Love the way you can trigger the 'bell' in the center of the rubber cymbal pad. Thanks for the demo.

  • Excuse me. How do you record drum sound?

I think.. you use AUX line(to include song)..

and use out line connect to camera.

    right?

  • hold shift than press the play/stop button. than press it again to record

  • thank you for this vid now i can convince my parents to buy one they thought it would have crappy tone

  • nice tattoo...

  • MUCH BETTER THAN ROLAND V

  • q bosta

  • Ok how do you recored drums over already existing drums? i have Garageband and protools and CAN NOT seem to get a good sound when i recored my drums over another song. Any advice?

  • if you buy this.. do you get a whole set or can you buy it P drum?

    srry for bad english...

  • check RHYTHMTANDEM .

  • Sounds like Guitar Pro 5...

  • dude thats really good sound quality. good job man.

  • can you set the hi hat pedal to a bass pedal on the dtxpress one set?

  • You are pretty good. I am thinking about getting that same electronic kit. Is it any good? by the way 5/5.

  • Yeah you an do that but i don think it feels good, hard to get a heel - toe action, but a normal double bass pedal works fine and the pad is plenty big enough.

    Hope that helps

    Nice playing Jacko

  • the kick pad looks small can you add a double kick drum to these sets? im thinking about buying one, someone reply thanks..

  • dtxpress iv special cost about 1500

this man's is dtxpress iv standard, cost about 1000

  • the special kit comes with a real hi-hat rather than a pad. and the module i believe its called has more options.

  • for this drumset i payed 2000€ in germany

  • I just got hthe special series with proper hi hat setup for €650, happy me!! Great kit.

  • you garbage joe

  • sounds like a sega game lol

  • Not bad, but I prefer acoustic kits.

  • Yes, all inputs are stereo, but several pads are mono, so you can add other ones with a splitter cable.

  • are you serious?

  • everyone jus give u an advice i dont mind whether you want to listen anot. Go Get a Real drum set is more worth. :)

  • on electronic if you headphones can people hear what people play let me know

  • hi there just got my self a Yamaha DTXpress 4 (IV) Electronic Drums playalong. realy pleased with it. can you plug a monitor in. or some thing so that when people come they can listen. cheers kev

  • the website?

  • how are u gonna get them for 300 they cost 500

  • how are you gonna get them for 300 they cost 500

  • yeah I have a pedal, it came with the package

    (roland TD-3)

  • i never likeed ny hi-hat being a pad

  • the two toms are way too close to my mind

  • Can you please tell me the weakness of this drum. I'm still not sure if I'll buy the DTXpress or the DTXplorer. Thx

  • It's a great kit and does everything I need .. although it does not have midi-in which maybe a concern for some ....

  • The sound is really good so is the playing!!!

    Lovely...Wish I could do that!!!

  • Thankyou...

  • can you play techno/electronica music on these "electric drums"

  • There are drum n bass, electro as well as various other kit/sounds which should enable you to get the sounds you want.

  • wow man, very nice sounds!!

iam really looking for one myself, so,this one is really recomended?

    greetz

  • Thanks

  • is that drum head making a hi-hat sound?

  • Yes it is.. you can assign any sound to any pad

  • if I couldn't see your shirt, i would have assumed you were naked

  • lol hes not. you can sort of see his shirt. its yellow. lol

  • that sounds like those ps 1 games music that suck but hes a good drumer

  • can you upload a video which shows how to connect your drum kit to pc, pleaseeeeee!! i really need this video

  • nice job man you rock

  • how much was this kit??

and can you get a double bass?

  • he already got it :P you can se it directly under the snare! :P next to the hi-hat controll :P

  • Xpress normal kit ABOVE IS 1699.99 without stool or kick.

yes they work with any pedal and double pedal

  • yeah u can get a double bass with almost any, as long as there is a pad that detects hits where the bass drum should be

  • im guna buy this kit soon, are you sure that double base drum pedals work with this one cause the base pad is really small.

    many thanks :D

  • yes, it works with double pedal., without problems.

  • hey mate can u please tell me if this kit has volume control cause i live in a flat and i'm afraid it might be 2 noisy. Oh yh wiked drummin by the way.

  • ofcourse it does, but i live in a flat and play electronics, you can just play with a headset, then it wont be very noisy at all.

  • thanks mate :)

  • Roland TD6 have the same sound.

  • Man I really enjoy these videos, make more!

  • Yeah, I have a dtxpress 3 like ArseneLupinIII and it has this same exact song on it.

  • sounds pretty cool... very tight

one question: how did you record this? i got a dtxpress 3, sounds ok playing, but when i record it, it sounds trashy....

  • Connect from the 2 outputs on the module into the pc soundcard for recording the audio...This is a user set I created layering maple & oak kit sounds together and using lots of reverb (all done on the module)..Cheers

  • what sound card do you use

  • Just use onboard sound......

  • roland è migliore

  • This costs around $1000 on zzounds . com

  • Damn I wish I could play as good. Practice and all that.....

    Superb playing.

  • real nice! cool music too. reminds me of transport tycoon - the game.

  • I just bought this, it's so fun

  • yes, electronic drums are great for practicing or recording too!

    JPilot2 :)

  • best drummer

  • I was gonna buy the yamaha td6 until I saw this. Great samples. I wanna hear someone playing some metal first..

  • is this guy wearin pants?, other then tht good job

  • wow these sound alot better than the Alesis dm5 pro kit and I was just about to order it to lmao.. well now i know somthing else thats cheap and sounds great at the same time as well.. By the way how many sound kits are on there??? and how many drum kits can you create????

  • 50 preset kits... including oak and maple custom acoustic kits & you can create 20 of your own user kits as well.

  • what's the point of an electric drum set if your going to use real drum sounds? I never understood that. I'm not knocking the performance, I've just always wondered. I would be using some heavy electronic sounds. Picture Fischerspooner or Ladytron.

  • No offence...

The electronic kit is for practising/fun at home. Noise issues dictates that my acoustic kit is limited to playing live/gigging.

    Cheers

  • Yeah, you get an electric kit for recording to save time and space, why send a much to triple on a good set of recording cymbals, when you could spend less on a e-kit.

  • yeah!!!!!a good drummer

  • he mightve done it on purpose..listen to vinnie coliuata, he does that kind of thing all day long

  • yeah :D it is

  • oh god that snare sound is lovely

  • why do people vote down his comment?

he's right, he looses it slightly at 00:20

other than that, great dumming, listening to your videos convinced me to buy this set!

  • my electronic drumset is awfull. so terrible snare voices, so silent basskicker. you're good drummer

  • Bien joué! > GOOD :)

  • Yes it is completely reversible....... All, toms, cymbals, snare, high hats, computer brain etc are independently attatched to the frames, so you can put every individual piece of the kit wherever you want it on the main frame.......... it is very easy

  • How did you get such a good quality sound recording on your video?

  • You are asking the wrong person my friend, this isnt my video posting you are watching, i just answered Omgffsmf question because i have one of these kits. I am guessing the fella playing however, just ran a lead from the drum brain to a recording device. I have never done it myself, but there are plenty of lead sockets on back of the brain to do it. Hope that helps a little. if not, speak with jacko64 its his posting mate
