  • The record for an instant cash win is $17,000.

  • "...with the young people...." Where have we heard Jim Perry say that before?

  • Jim Perry is Two years older than my Grandmother.

  • I actually forgot about that. But after seeing another video with that format, that made the show end much too quickly if a match was made immediately. The shopping format was much better; the contestants had to accumulate a certain amount of money to "purchase" an item.

  • @glandryiris I actually preferred the Winner's board format for the simple reason that it guaranteed a prize for winning the game, even if it was only a mantle clock or something small.

  • I'm not sure which bonus game I liked better, this one or the shopping one. I think I'd go with the former; at least they had a choice of leaving or returning the next day. This format didn't have anything to do with shopping.

  • @glandryiris I agree with you on the lack of shopping making this bonus game not fit in. Just out of curiosity, what was your opinion of the Winner's Board format?

  • Jennifer's an attractive girl.

  • @entertainme3000 And a lucky girl too!

  • It's basically Teen Week.

  • Can you update the rest of this week?

  • I don't know exactly how many cars were given away during the WBMG era, but it couldn't have been very many. I think the only other way Sale was going to give away cars was by special weeks such as this.

  • SHould be noted the week of Classic COncentration Jim refers to at the end of the show saw the debut of the neon palm trees that were part of the contestant maingame podium backdrop for the remaining three years of the run.

  • After the NBC and the syndicated version dropped the shopping endgame, it's INteresting that the contestant who wins the game no longer got the cash in front of them on games that they won.

  • @zachhoran

Actually, keeping the cash in front of them is still for keeps in Jim Perry's Sale of the Century.

  • THis must be from late August or early September, as the person Jim referenced as having died recently died on August 11, 1988.

  • I see a MLB Pennant Sighting at 2:10 Milwaukee Brewers!, any other sightings in this video?

  • What is the airdate of this. It aired on USA between September 1992 and Spring 1993 or in early 1994(USA aired six or seven months of NBC episodes from 1988-89, ending with the Tuesday show of the finae week), and this would have been among the earliest aired, then aired the 1985-86 syndicated run in full I think, then went back to the 1988 NBC episodes)

  • NBC's Classic Concentration had an END OF SUMMER BASH week as well.

  • @heine71 Is it with Teens or Adults?

  • Oh my god, I used to have the Friday episode before my dumbass father erased my whole game show tape w/ This Old House.

Thank you so very much for posting this episode!

  • Your welcome. I also have the rest of the week save for the Monday episode.

  • @gamelover1949 yes, let's do it again save for the friday episode which will be uploaded probably at the end of August, in addition upload more Teenagers playing on Network and Syndicated Game Shows (no Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, please!)

  • @gamelover1949 If you posted the rest of what you have of this week of SOTC, I would include you in my will. Thanks for posting this!

  • I'll try to do those in the future. Thank you kindly.

  • @gamelover1949 if that's true, could you upload them, I love watching this show.

  • No losers on this episode. Good day.

  • Yeah, they all got something good for their efforts.
