I don t know why anybody would mistake neapolitan mastiffs for canning corso ,neos have been around for about 4000 years before christ.The canning corso is a made up breed by two guys on an island crossing neos x rotteweller x bullmastiff and passing them of as an ancient italian war pugnace britianace all breeds are man made to suit mans needs canning corso really a new breed.

All of them didn't die out. The Germans fucked up the bloodlines pretty badly, but there were still a few left over. HOWEVER, The recreation process was a disaster, simply because people have no use for gigantic war dogs anymore. So people started breeding for folds and soft, lazy temperament. And now you have these poor mutts with so much extra skin they can barely breathe. The AKC is truly evil.
