Hi there, just doing a series2 myself. Not to hot on the electrical side of things yet. Did you convert it to 12v or did already have the battery in it?
@lammydave i love so much your lammy i favorite heheheheheeh amazing work mate be proud!!! im sure you treasure it :)) i would love to have one again I had one in brasil sold to move here and miss one like crazy my was blue and white 1960 Li150 ..how i dream to have another like it or like yours :)
That's a seriously beautiful series 2 Lammy! You have done a superb restoration job here. What a fantastic looking machine the series 2 is.I wish the motor manufacturers would go back to these classic designs, they have far more character and soul than anything produced today.Happy scooting :-)
How much did u pay for it before restoration? I found one but Im not sure if I would be paying too much for it. It is in the same condition as your was.
Hi, scooter looks great! What was the hardest thing about building it. Just got a series 2 125 and about to rebuild it. Really enjoying it so far but i know its not all gonna be fun.
As this was the 2nd one i had done, most of the work was quite easy and rewarding. What i did find is that the series 2 is a more robust machine than the series 3, and all the panels seem to fit a whole lot better .. probably my favourite lammy, but i am about to start on a GP, so that may take precedence, we'll see!
Where did you get this music mix? I LOVE it! I love this clip, too... it's a great reminder that good "before" photos are oh-so-important. Thanks for posting it, and please let me know where to find that mix. Thanks!
The series 2 is the best looking by far. Good job u did there. I've just got my hands on one too and it's really funny but mine has a piece of tisue in the carburator outlet as i type! So funny. I hope mine turns out as good as yours! Sweet.
hey mate, u seem a bit of a lambretta expert! unfortunately i can not afford an old lambretta bt i am looking to buy one soon. the company it is made by is tamoretti. if u look for lambrettas on the autotrader websyte im sure u will find it somewhere near the top, if not its on scooter central ... google that. neway getting to my point i was wondering what you thought of the bike and is it value for money? once agen thanx
unfortunatly, i have no knowledge of tamorettis ... all i can say is, you can still get lambrettas cheap-ish .. try sam at lambrettafinder (google it) he is in belgium, you can pick up a running scooter at a reasonable price ... dont know where you are, but for us living in the south east, delivery is free!! .. then you can restore is at you go!!
hi, the only tips i can offer are.. take your time bodywork is all about preperation ask for help! (lcgb website) buy parts from people you trust expect problems .. it's a lambretta take lots of photos when it's done, be proud! good luck david
well, my first one took 18 months ... but this one was really speedy ... about 6 months!! I am at full time work, so only get to work on them now and again, plus i have to do all the spraywork outdoors, so it has to be a warm, sunny day with no wind, which all adds to the timescale!!
What happened to the rear rack? I have been looking for one forever....

Nice work Dave. Great seeing an old classic brought back to life. Seies II is my favourite model too, I think. How's the GP rebuild going?

thanks for the comment...
a fair price here in the uk for an unrestored one in similar condition would be around £800 GBP
hope this helps

No plans for getting a luggage rack/spare wheel holder? (that's what the four holes above the tail light are for...)
