I have observed exactly this for the past couple years here in California. Yep. Most people do not want to acknowledge this. They want to believe these are nature's bugs and spider webs. I think you have to be "awake" to be aware. Have you ever tried showing this to somebody else? They can't handle it. Thank goodness for these posts or we would not get the validation that we need.

I have done the same thing as well, and filmed this very peculiar and somewhat alarming aerial display. However... Don't think that everything you are viewing is a " smart dust " particle. THERE ARE UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT AS WELL. Whether they are man-made or extraterrestrial remains to be revealed. But, I have known about this technique since the late 90's as well... thanks to the now defunct " SIGHTINGS " program on the old SCI FI. You are able to see this " WITH THE NAKED EYE " too.

It was between the hours of 2 - 3 in the afternoon. Some days you can see the spider web like fibers also falling from the skys.

If there is a whiteish haze in the sky surrounding the sun, it will be harder to see the smart dust and web fibers.

The same thing happened to me, while i was on a school trip to a more northern camping place (i live in canada) the sky was perfectly clear yet a snow like substance was falling (it looked like the dust in your video) no one but me payed attention to it, also there was a corona around the sun

I live in the South of England, and we have this stuff coming down daily. Also polymer filaments that stick to everything outside, but ,if you leave your windows open come indoors too. more great video sky!!! ....hey...is there any way you could trap some of that stuff in some netting and look at it under a microscope??? ......an upsidedown umbrella poked into the yard will trap plenty of particles, then scrape some onto a slide. maybe even pantyhose like material strung between 2 posts up there would trap some over several hours. we have too much crop dust from farm work here right now. I did get many samples of strange web fallout a couple weeks back. hope to get it posted

you can see them at night by getting your camera, holding it arms length away and slightly upward, snap a photo and look at the flah in front of the camera. You may see them in the actual photo you took too.

After watching the video, go back and freeze frame through the video. The speed and movements of some of these particles are interesting. Many of the particles fly together in pairs of 2 and 3.

I never thought about trying to catch any of this stuff. It is something for me to think about now.

I recently started to see the smart dust about a month ago because I decided to look for it. Sure enough, there it was flying near the edge of a building with the sun as a background.

I looked for these smart dust particles today because earlier I saw small clouds appearing then quickly disappearing in the sky. I suspected that something was in the air cloaking the clouds.
