hey guys i'm thinking about dark souls tomorrow, and i was wonder on what tips that can help me with this game. it been a while since i play a RPG. also can i team up with anybody to fight these monsters?
Respond to this video... I bought Demon's Souls because I heard that it was one of the hardest games out there. It is one of the best RPG's out there but it isn't hard unless you put on heavy armor and couldn't roll, besides that it wasn't hard at all. I want them to make this one alot more difficult :)

That creepy skelzor at 2:15 sure makes the Old One from Demon's Souls look like a pussy. Seems like this game might be even more infuriating than the first. Oh well, gird your loins and have something cheap on-hand to rage break. (New controllers are too pricey to throw across the room these days)
As much as I like Demon's Souls, that "SHIT! I don't want to walk around that corner" and "how the FUCK am I supposed to get passed a fire breathing dragon?" feeling just aren't there anymore. I'm glad I get to go through all that again with Dark Souls, cannot wait. :D

All the guys hanging by a thread, or scared about if it's harder, are already defeated. Once you understand the dynamic or block and dodge, and know when to run, this could be demon souls 6, and we'll be excited. When this comes out, some of us will say, "Prepare for Glory!" Looks awesome, I'm just hoping they don't lower the difficulty (RAISE IT!) and that they keep making the amazing, epic, fantastic, etc. design decisions, also the art direction was amazing on demon's souls, keep it that way.

@usuck329 Silly rabbit. Same developer, Same designer. After Demon's Souls was a hit, From Software didn't want the contractual agreement Sony had with them, so they made this and called it Demon's Souls' 'Spiritual Successor' instead of demon's souls 2, which conveniently will be multi-platform.
This is supposed to be more difficult than Demon's Souls, from what I hear. I never completed Demon's Souls, but I'm hoping that I'll be able to complete this one.
Go now and complete it, it's amazing, plus the game never gets harder, when you start a
+ playthrough, you still have your equipment so it's easy, but i limit myself, to basic items n work my way up again, but seriously, make haste n complete it.... If this is harder n you never finished, Demon' how will you finish this?

@DDRrez it takes place in the NORTHERN LANDS!!! your one of the last surviving knights that got sent to the land when the fog first started taking over. they broke the archstone.the bonfire system is saposta be symbolizing hope for the last surviving.
@DDRrez thats why its a open world game this time. you still have a hub so to speak but it doesn't have teleport's to take you to different lands. you can jump now. 2x the weapons/magic. hope more armor too. NPCs will be out n about like the merchants. it's hush hush if the black maiden/monumental will return. world tendency will make a come back. enemies have advanced AI, more then the first soldiers in the 3rd part in Boletarian Palace. enemies will jump, change weapons and fighting styles. :)
@DDRrez your right, the only reason it wasn't called Demon's Souls 2 is because of legal issues, but they have said many a times that IT IS JUST a spiritual successor, if at all a spiritual sequel. From Software has really never made there games about the story, just an amazing experience and it is up to the player to make and piece everything together. ending up making the best RPGs out there besides the Elder Scrolls.

@BLACKBINLATIN Demon's Souls was a hard game. Nobody could just run through the game and expect to beat the levels. For example the Tower levels are almost impossible without Anti-magic to a newby.
the hardest part to was the false old king boss battle the game wasnt hard really IMO but once i got to the new game + and so on then it got a little difficult but nothing a little farming couldnt fix
Honestly, I'm am happy with the fact that this is multiplat. normally I dont like it when a game goes multiplat because the quality is lower for ps3 when it was developed on Xbox and then ported over to ps3. but because this game is being developed on ps3 i know the quality will be good. I only have a ps3, but if the game is still good for both consoles then i'm happy to see more people participating in the game. thats the differance between a mature person and a fanboy. :)

Why does fanboys always ruin everything with console fanboywars? I have powerful enough PC. Also PS3 and Xbox 360. I like them all but I use consoles only for exclusive games otherwice they won't difference at all. PC has everythime sharper textures and much better draw distance at multiconsole games.
I don't think anything is being sacrificed by putting this on the Xbox now aswell because i bet the first game COULD have played on it. So really it's the exact same in terms of graphics but has way better features. It is true that PS3 exclusive games look better because of the space they can use up on Blu-Ray discs. Demons Souls i'm sure didn't use the full potential of Blu-Ray so nothing will be wrong with this game.

@BLACKBINLATIN Demon's Souls was a hard game. Nobody could just run through the game and expect to beat the levels. For example the Tower levels are almost impossible without Anti-magic to a newby.

the hardest part to was the false old king boss battle the game wasnt hard really IMO but once i got to the new game + and so on then it got a little difficult but nothing a little farming couldnt fix

I am looking forward to this game, more than any other 2011 release.
I think that demon's souls was incredible and it still has so much untapped potential.

Demon's Souls was an amazing game. difficult and unforgiving. I beat it. This game is supposed to be much harder. and i will beat it too.

Honestly, I'm am happy with the fact that this is multiplat. normally I dont like it when a game goes multiplat because the quality is lower for ps3 when it was developed on Xbox and then ported over to ps3. but because this game is being developed on ps3 i know the quality will be good. I only have a ps3, but if the game is still good for both consoles then i'm happy to see more people participating in the game. thats the differance between a mature person and a fanboy. :)

Why does fanboys always ruin everything with console fanboywars? I have powerful enough PC. Also PS3 and Xbox 360. I like them all but I use consoles only for exclusive games otherwice they won't difference at all. PC has everythime sharper textures and much better draw distance at multiconsole games.

I don't think anything is being sacrificed by putting this on the Xbox now aswell because i bet the first game COULD have played on it. So really it's the exact same in terms of graphics but has way better features. It is true that PS3 exclusive games look better because of the space they can use up on Blu-Ray discs. Demons Souls i'm sure didn't use the full potential of Blu-Ray so nothing will be wrong with this game.

The reason this isn't a PS3 exclusive is because both PS3 and the 360 are widely used consoles and the previous game in the series was awarded Game of the Year. They aren't going to sacrifice that much money for your plangent PS3 fanboyism. Just be happy, this will make the Dark Souls community nearly two times bigger. The only type of person who wouldn't be completely ecstatic about this are the Emotional Hipster Faggots who want to be diverse but whine when people dislike what they are in to.

@BlitzMKPS Or people who happen to know that platform exclusive games, whether they be ps3 or 360 exclusive, tend to be better games. And that PS3 exclusive games tend to look better. There is a notion in the the community that by going to 360 the quality and size of the game will have to be sacrificed to fit on the 360s smaller discs, and run on it's not as powerful system. It's the same concept as PC gamers who bitch because PCs are much more powerful than consoles.
