  • Nice video, pity NIR wouldnt run more goods trains!

  • Anybody remember the train at ranks flour mill in glasnevin dublin.had its own siding beside the canel, there was also two sunken river barges below the wall beside the mill there.last time I was there was way back mid 70s.I miss that part of auld dublin.

  • Is ther much of the old Ballynahinch Junction station left?

  • Only the road bridge and the base of the water tower. Even the platforms have been filled in.

  • I watched that program, very good but there wasnt a train in sight, let alone a steam hauled freight! any idea what happened?

  • They cut out that section of Graham's family. It was his great-grandfather who worked on the GNRI. Unfortunately despite filming that section of the family it got dropped in the edit!! We only found out the day before that it wasn't going to air. However I do have the rushes from them on DVD and the production company is hopeful that it might appear as a DVD extra. They're beautiful shots and it would be a shame for no-one to see them.

  • good to see some freight being hauled by steam, pity it wasnt 800,85,171,461 or 4 tho!

  • There'll never be that kind of steam train again on the main line!!

  • LOL No.90 doesn't like Whitehead much so u's get him then he he.

  • lol does any know when Harvey is coming home to Whitehead?

  • Harvey likes it here! He don't wanna go home! Only joking - should be before Halloween.

  • Great to see 'Harvey' the saddle tank engine hauling thoses troublesome trucks about.
