I disagree, double lungeing is lungeing, but with double lines. The horse handler stands in the center lunging the horse, using both lines like reins. Ground driving and long lining are more synonomyous. Ground driving refers to someone starting a driving horse and typically works the horse from the ground beginning in minimal tack/surcingle and working up to full harness with blinders if going to be used in harness. Long lining is dressage based and works the horse in lines from the ground.
When longlining, the handler remains stationary in the center, holding driving lines that independently connect to the bit on each side. When longlining the horse travels in a circle.
When grounddriving, the handler is positioned directly behind, or behind and but slightly off to the near side and moves WITH the horse. When grounddriving the horse is usually moved in patterns other than a circle.

I've been told that "Double lunging" and long lining are synonymous terms.

I still don't see the difference in the two. The first looked like double lungeing... and then you turned the horse around....
