    I'm not 11B though. I'm 37F.

  • @guitarhamster102 hek no buddy. you have plenty of time to get into good shape! if your wanting to put on weight start lifting weights and eating alot of food (lots of carbs) and start running 1 mile 3 times a week until your comfortable and that becomes easy then move up to 2 miles and running 4 or 5 days a week. just stick with it man! u can get swole before you leave. Im shipping february 14th to benning. good luck mane

  • you guys think ill be ok if i can run a mile in 8 mins, do 30 push ups and 42 sit ups when i get to basic? im leaving in 2 weeks.. im worried about it not being good enough.. last pt test i ran 2 miles in 15:56.. but i haven't ran since.

  • @cranedave The requirements are, 2 miles in 15:56, 42 push ups in 2 mins, and 52 sit ups in 2 mins. You just need to work a little, you'll be fine.

  • @creepycody It's 2 miles in 15:54. The two seconds might make a difference lol

  • @31lucian My bad, I heard they were cutting it down to 1.5 miles though.

  • @cranedave youll be good but ur unit is wats gonna break u off for the next few years ull be missing basic as easy pt lol

  • my brother is there and boy he said it is hard!!

  • how were u able to take pics?

  • @fernandezbeast .... Most Companys will usually have a outside photographer that follows the Company around during the cycle to take pics. The DS's might also take some pics or video clips.

  • what justifies becoming an 11 bravo or 11 charlie?

  • @PUTMEONTHEREDLIST ..... Math skill!!!

  • @williamLongino thats not funny

  • @jdoldnumbr07 ... It wasn't meant to be.

  • @PUTMEONTHEREDLIST a 11C can do math

  • I leave tomorrow morning for ft benning osut!

  • JUNE 21ST! 23 DAYS AWAY, excited but at the same time NERVOUS!

  • @RlCESTER Infantry? Haha same day bud!

  • I remember days I would sit down in the DFAC and about two seconds later I had to get up and leave. I was always hungry and so were the other guys.

  • @msalak87 .... So how much bread did you shove in your pocket?!!!!

  • Anyone know who sings the first song?

  • @BenGriner14 Less Than Jake. The song is Al's War

  • im going there November 8th and i cant wait!!!

  • july 12

    cant wait!

  • @williamLongino You told someone that they will be hungry constantly at Basic in Benning, which is false. I was assuring him he would have plenty of food. Were talking about Basic, not deployment.

  • @Barnhart24 ... Plenty of food yes. Plenty of time, negative! 4 company's cycling threw one DFAC in an hour and a half.... Granted when he's at the range's he will have abit more time.

  • @colton12344321 I was never hungry at basic in Fort Benning. They give you plenty of food, you just have to eat it fast. I wouldn't listen to william. Trust me, you'll have plenty of food.

  • @Barnhart24 ... LOL! Plenty of food!!! When an 11B says "trust me" while not deployed usually does not end well!!!

  • ah now i see what i'll be looking forwards for when i go down there october

  • Ft. Benning

  • Im going to join in June 22nd. And guys im skinny and i weigh only 121pounds, 20yrs old. I been Training, lifting weights, running, etc. What if i dont exceed the Proper weight?? Can anyone whos been there help me out a little??? It would REALLY help, thanks.

  • @PostRocklover im leaving june 28th. see you in reception maybe :) they will beef you up there man, my friend went in and they made him eat twice as much everyday. for now stop the weight lifting and just keep to push ups sit ups pull ups and running. the more you weigh the more of your own body weight you have to carry. also go to walmart and but a protein shake mix for like 20 buck, make sure its the kind that you stir in milk its just easier. drink it 2 to 3 times a day. are you excited?

  • @colton12344321 hah thnx i been getting that "drink protien" stuff alot lol

and heck yeah im excited!! where you going to be stationed at??

  • @PostRocklover well im being shipped to Ft Benning. but who knows where i will be stationed. dont know till you graduate i thought? what about you?

  • @colton12344321 Ft Jackson! South Carolina!

  • @PostRocklover damn i thought wwe might go together.whats your mos?

  • @colton12344321 Infantry

  • @PostRocklover weird, i thought most infantry went to benning

  • @colton12344321 me too, maybe they're move me somewhere else?

  • @PostRocklover never know i guess

  • @colton12344321 what about you man? whats your Mos?

  • @PostRocklover Infantry :)

  • @colton12344321 ... You will eat plenty while in reception! Once you head down range though is a different story! You will spend the next 14 weeks being hungry. When you're in the DFAC you will generally have between 4 and 6 minuets to eat! Tip... When the food is to hot to eat, use your water to cool it down! You will understand this when you get there!

  • @williamLongino hahaha thank you :) thats the same thing my father told me.

  • @williamLongino they have a mandatory 10 minutes to eat now. you can take your time and finish you chow now. and once you get to the later parts of training, you just leave when you are done. at least, that is how it is in the new barracks on sand hill.

  • @brawlifier ...Wow ten minuets?!!! Ahh can't say i'm surprised. Seems like each cycle had new changes... Where did they build the new barracks at (in relation to the back gate on sand hill)? Haven't been there in several years now.

  • @williamLongino it is right by the malone ranges. it is less than a block away from malone one.

  • @PostRocklover Your weight shouldn't be a problem im 22 and weigh 130, better underweight then this guy that couldn't get processed cuz he was too fat down at my meps. lmfao August 22 Fort Benning. gl man

  • @Cubisho20 dude you dont know how much you helped me lol

well, the only thing for me to worry about now is how well i do at basic aha

  • @Cubisho20 i was at 21 percent body fat and they let me in........ im 74 inches and weigh 225. just have to be a minute faster on my running

  • @IIIMAVER1CK ...74inches and 225lbs.... Bet you'll be carrying a 240!!!

  • @williamLongino yeah my only roblem is my poor eyesight. I hope i will get a weaver in. i really hope.

  • @IIIMAVER1CK.... If you are in the DEP then you're in my friend! If BCG's can fix your eye's then I wouldn't worry about anything other then looking stupid!!! I had to wear them myself!

  • @williamLongino Do they do things by weight and measurement?

  • @mazda6tuner99 the only place where size comes in to place really is combatives. They divide you by weight classes.

  • @williamLongino you know they will give it to the short guy that weighs 120.

  • I just got out of Benning. It was easier than I thought it was going to be. I was in F 2/58 and had DS Johnson, DS vargas, and SDS shomaker. One of the drill sergeants in our company was an Army Ranger named DS Burns. But seriously, benning was easy. The only hard part for me was the running because I'm out of shape. Basic really isn't that hard. It's ALL mental. I hardly got yelled at except for when I was eating CHOW. basic is simple. I was Infantry by the way.

  • @jacobbis4lovers hey man i think im going to benning. u mind giving me some pointers?

  • @schoolboy405 ... All you need to know is.... Keep mouth shut and pay attn to what you're being taught. Do that and you will be fine.

  • @schoolboy405 dude you know its on your orders after meps

  • @jacobbis4lovers How many miles do you run at a time? you think

  • @cogglers Um, at first, we only ran a mile and it was timed but they didn't count it because it more like a practice run to see what group we will run with. I was in group B. I ran my mile in 7:30, which is really slow, but I honestly didn't try. After that, we did something called "30 - 60" where you sprint around the track for 30 seconds and then walk for a minute. Then, we ran for 15 minutes. These were on separate days, but sometimes on the same day. We probably ran a total of 30 miles.

  • @jacobbis4lovers Thanks for the reply man i appreciate it

  • @cogglers ...Normally you will run two miles. On occasion you will do an eagle run (5mile)...

  • LOL i was D 1/50 how funny u were my neighbors

  • @shawnmc73... Thats what the army calls "heat cat 5"! Just means its really hot outside, with humidity above 90%!

  • I was 1/50th 4th platoon Mighty War Hogs in 1992. Huah. e-mail me shawnmc73@yahoo.com.

  • I bet that taco tasted DAMN good. Looks like I'll have one hell of a time come April HOOAH!

  • @emoskaterpunk101 We might be at basic together. I was supposed to ship 20110307 but I weighed in a few pounds too light so I'm going back to MEPS 20110314 to weigh/swear in. Hooah!

  • @emoskaterpunk101 same ship date, see ya there buddy!

  • @GoHawkeyes2010 hooah! be prepared! ;) nice to hear someone else will be there.

  • @jerryboy219 becasue they dont teach them to use it but the unit will let them use it if they have a decent squad leader to show them they can.

  • When they were doing the marksman ship test why weren't any of them using their slings for sling wraps, they were there why not use them.

  • does anyone know who sings the first song?

  • @jacobbis4lovers less than jake

  • Comment removed

  • 20110307 Super stoked cant wait. anyone else leavin this day??

  • @xmarkhansenx I leave 20110215. I can't wait either, but I'm really nervous about the Eagle tower and rappeling.

  • @jacobbis4lovers If you aren't afraid of Heights then it's really nothing to worry about. I hope you have been running and working on endurance. Cause if not your fucked for BCT

  • @OhEMG33dinosaurs I can run a mile in 6:30. I can do 35 push-ups in a minute, and 100 sit-ups in a minute. However, I can only do ONE pull-up lmao. I leave in three weeks, too. I'm not scared of heights, I'm just worried about the rope breaking and me falling to my death.

  • @jacobbis4lovers Your run time is better then mine. Any advice?

  • @OhEMG33dinosaurs My advice is, is try to run a mile as fast as you can(start off going fast) and never stop no matter how tired you get - this will push your body over the "edge" and get you more in shape. Feeling cramps is normal and make sure you are breathing in a steady rhythm. Time your mile and see how fast you run it. Next time you run, try to beat your first mile time, and then run 40 yard sprints after taking a quick break. Drink plenty of water before and after running.

  • i dont agree, i ran for my PT test 10:40 and i did not kill my self on the first mile infact i kept a nice good pace, long strides and timed it at 6:00 flat, now on the way way back is when I let loose cause then i had plenty of energy to burn, and running alone out side wont pick your speed up, you naturally slow down your body just does it, for speed a treadmil is the best answer casue then you are forcing your body to run at set speed and then your muscles will naturally run that speed

  • @jacobbis4lovers ... The best way to improve your run time is to do "run to walk" drills. Run as fast as you can for 60 seconds, then walk for 30 seconds, then run, walk, run.....etc..... Do that for about 15 to 20 min... Besides group runs, this is one of the many things you will do to improve your run time and stamina.

  • I don't mean this at all to sound like i'm talking ill of a force i'll be with pretty soon but, did the Drill Sergeants allow everyone to take a group photo after every obstacle? This video makes it look like an amusement park rather than a training course.

  • @Halefire3030... Most Company's have a local photographer following the recruits throughout the cycle.

  • @williamLongino Ah, that's cool, thanks for clearing that one up!

  • @Halefire3030 That's what basic training is.... Daycare. You'll get what you want when you're assigned your unit, following BCT. That's when the real training begins.

  • is it me or everyone who makes videos and is an 11c b or x likes punk music? hahahaha nice! ..shippin in a week baby! woot woot!!

  • @justin2800 ?? 20100412? how if that was last year?

  • I ship to Benning in June, Excited!

  • i ship april 12 to benning... cant wait:D

  • I on HBL go back on the 4th of jan. G company 1/50 !

  • @pmctwisty3 ... Just remember, don't try to slip anything in your not supposed to have! You will have battle buddies that try, so be prepared for a good smoking!!!

  • @williamLongino how bout a good crushing, lets say 8 hours, in the gravel pit, blistering hot sun, a couple of heat casualties, throwing up the food you just ate, and then maybe even putting the bay back together in time for bedtime...lol, that day was horrible, hope you guys who are leaving for FT. Benning, into Cco 2-47, don't have to breach the shower room! DS Reina is a mean guy!

  • @wasupekar ... That's it??? I'm not coming down on you or anything, but all that shit is done for a reason. If a DS did not cause you to have to deal with stress, he would not be doing his job. Their goal is to make soldiers out of civys in a short amount of time. All the stuff you mentioned minus the bay being trashed is what an 11b deals with regularly while being deployed. It's not for everybody.

  • @justin2800 i went on the 14th of dec

  • i ship out to benning jan 18. who else is being shipped around this time.
