  • *sighs* I'll own one one day..maybe sometime inthe future my kid will be playing Time Crisis 7...

  • mrxai658, i bet he's play better than you, he is a kid your moron, and play very well, congratulations man

  • YOU FAIL

  • Your son so cute and awesome!!! xD

  • i never knew time crisis had a arcade release 0_0 looks AWESOME!

  • Time crisis 1 is IMPOSSIBLE

  • If your ever thinking of selling this, as long as your in the UK, please could you PM me or something because im looking to buy one...

  • @rolandmickael Time crisis isnt violant at all...

  • Is that a replacement gun because it looks strange and its green! Also i have bought a TC 1 and it doesnt work!!! I cant put coins and also i cant enter test mode!!! HELP :)

  • @Robobbly Yeah it's a 'Recoil SFX' gun as the original Namco guns are expensive to replace!!, so what's yours not doing then??. If it's just the gun not registering it can be a number of things!. First off check the glass and mirror are clean and that you can clearly see the sensor through the lens on the gun... Then unplug everything from the game boards cage and plug it all back in.... I did that and suddenly the gun came to life....

  • @retromamez Oh ok, i will keep that in mind because the sale dident work for some reson and someone payed more for it than me so i dident get it :( it was just on ebay and it said that... I realy realy love time crisis 1 and i realy want to get one of those machines!!! Im moveing house soon so im going to try to buy one again! Are they very reliable because, from what i have seen there not!?!?!?! Lol

    Thanks

    Robert

  • @Robobbly As with all old arcade games there's a chance they can get a fault, Time Crisis tends to be prone to graphix problems.

  • @Robobbly Just seen that ebay auction you were speaking of and BELIEVE ME you DON'T want to buy from that seller anyway!!

  • @retromamez Oh right! Why dont i want to buy from that seller? And do you think that it would have been an easy fix???

  • @Robobbly bad rep!!, it can't have been that easy to repair though as that seller buys/sells/repairs them for a living!!

  • @retromamez Oh ok, yer i hate it when ebay people do that IT anoyes me so much! What i might do is create the innerds of the machine my self so im going to get an old CRT tv and a PC with a guncon 2 light gun modifyed to be but in a recoil case and with a foot pedal! And then i can play it :) Only problem is that i cant find a working TC 1 rom for mame :(

What does the system look like inside?

  • @retromamez Hello again,

I have located some time crisis boards, and a time crisis gun on ebay! I would like to buy them but can you help me a bit?

Firstly what kinda monitor does it connect to?

Also how will i do the lightgun, is there a sensor? or do i just need the gun pcb? etc...

    Thanks so much

    Robert dilley

  • @Robobbly You really need the whole cabinet!, there is a Hantarex Polo monitor, Gun PCB, the game cage (which is basically about 4 different boards inside a big metal box), Power supply, Gun and the wiring loom that fixes everything together!!. If you don't really know much about this stuff it's not gonna be easy to explain how it all works.

  • @retromamez I have the game cadge, the gun and gun pcb! But can you explain how the gun sees the screen? Is it like most light gun games... i also have the power supply, so i just realy need the monitor!

Can you explain a bit more about the gun?

    Thanks

    Bobby

  • @Robobbly The gun has an optical reciever, it focuses on the screen and works by screen brightness so it knows what area of screen it is pointing at when the trigger is pressed.

  • @retromamez So all i need is the gun and gunpcb not any sensors on the screen? Cool... wait i thought it worked with a mirror, i mean the screen.. does that mean that the monitor picture is flipped or something? Or will it be fine to run it on a monitor with no mirror?

    Thanks for all your help

    Bobby

  • @Robobbly The image is reversed via the monitor, usually a connector on the monitor chassis is swapped over which flips the image.

  • @retromamez Ok thanks! Do you know whats refresh rate the monitor is and what connections it has? is it RGB or something else?

    Thanks

    Bobby

Sorry for all the questions :D

  • @Robobbly You will need a standard 15khz arcade monitor (I think)

Or you can go via RGB Scart on a TV if you know what you are doing (don't ask me about that one as I don't know... Just google!) but resistors will be required as the RGB output on arcade boards is 5V and the RGB input on TV's is 1V.

  • @retromamez Awesome! Thanks so much! I love your channel and your videos - thanks for being such a great help!

    Thanks so much

    King regards,

    Bobby

  • @Robobbly No probs!, get yourself over to jamma+ and register, you will get LOADS of arcade related info there:)

  • @retromamez Awesome - Thanks just have! Looks good!

Sorry, last question... if you dont mind.. i dont mind if you dont want to awenser, but how much was your time crisis machine? or how much are they usualy because im not sure how much i should pay! The gun + gunio + game metal boxy thing with pcbs in is about £80, is that a good deal?

    Thanks

    Sorry again :)

    Bobby

  • @Robobbly that's not bad really as you can pay £100 for the game boards alone.

  • @retromamez Ok... ill seriously consider! Also would a pc power supply work?

  • @Robobbly It 'should' work as it has the right voltages, bit of messing around though but I do have an ATX power supply in my Jamma cab.... but.... i'm not sure if the Namco guns run off 24v though (which you won't get in an ATX PSU) my gun is a recoil SFX and is 12v. You also need to connect 2 wires together that turns the psu into the 'On' state.

  • @retromamez Ok Thanks! Unfortunately it had a buy it now price of about $65 for just the game boards and then something like $40 for the gun and they seam to have diserpeared! So i think that someone must have bought them... damn... oh well! I will just have to find another one some day !

Thanks for all your help :D

    Your very clever
