Richard/Betsy: Crash and Burn

The movie had great acting but its conclusion that Betsy was attacked by her own father is a stretch and there was never any evidence or even an accusation of such behavior. Betsy died of old age in 1888. She had always credited her father for saving her life from the Bell witch. As it turned its violent attacks from her to him and he died for it. Another movie, "The Bell Witch Haunting made in 2004 follows the real story much closer.

i loved this movie. it was so good. i dont know why it had such a low rating. you know what i noticed is that way back in the day age difference wasnt such a big deal. even when they were really young. it was normal. and nowaday people with just 5 years of age difference is looked down upon. unless they are over 21. i mean its like hayden and milo heck shes older than betsy is in this and hes younger than richard and yet they are looked down upon because of the age difference. its stupid

I think it's an alternate ending. It's after they are married. He has a mustache and such.

He fell asleep, and during that time the Bell Witch told him what happened to Betsy and everything. He must have been disturbed in his sleep, because Betsy comes to him and wakes him up, then asks if he's all right. Richard knows that it wasn't a dream, and that what John Bell did to Betsy was true, but he chooses to keep it to himself and not tell Betsy.

He thinks that the remembrance would traumatize her further, for Betsy possibly had forgotten over time what her father did to her.

I love Richard and Betsy. They were very cute. I was desperately hoping for a little more of them but I guess that's up to our imagination. They would probably have a very strong relationship. Great job!!

My sister and I went right out and bought the book. It elaborates a lot more on their relationship. Quite romantic actually...but REALLY interesting.
