I am a man and I support the Dianic Craft. I don't feel "excluded" because they don't allow men or don't acknowledge male deity. As a gay man, I know about bigotry, too. For those who cry "balance, balance!", why does so much of the Craft recognize only heterosexual intimacy in its rites? Homosexuality and bisexuality are a part of nature, too. If you say it's because being straight is the only natural way, because you need a balance of a man and woman, you're no better than the Jesus folk.
@jajohnson7809 Many covens do not practice that rite (or even being skyclad) since it can and is abused by some people who use it to get a 'freebie' with someone more attractive than themselves. Further, I think that it's pretty clear that the only reason one would practice heterosexual intimacy only, is because they either aren't gay or followed a tradition that dictated how it be performed. It's who you perform the rites with that are your problem, not a 'proclamation' of the religion itself.

In the political arena, the job market.. sure, but in the craft, it makes no sense to me to have a feminist agenda. In this wonderful book she has a section on the God, The Sacred Sons, The Salii, Sons & Lovers, Self-Dedication for Young Men, Acceptance of Manhood, Acceptance of Matriarchal Manhood.

Look between the lines, these types are nothing more then misandrists stuck on pronouns. She says she recognizes (him) yet Jesus says in heaven they are neither male nor female. Why would a higher entity or "THE REAL CREATOR" need to be a biological gender? It is humanity that has decided to take their english pronouns to seriously. I remember when Z Budapest called a circle regarding the capture of the Trailside Killer on Mt. Tam. Oh, yeah, she's only dangerous to a jealous patriarchy who refused to give her credit. We sure need her up here in Washington state because we have another Trailside Killer. A mother and daughter were hiking and were shot. I'm trying to gather wimmin for a circle, will keep trying.
Wonderful to see this and to know that Z is still out there, teaching and helping others to find the Goddess. I just finished my first year and a day in the Dianic Tradition and LOVE what I've learned. Many thanks to Z and the way she helped bring into the light.
