  • @Rienneil the feminist goal is to ultimatly gain superiority over males. They don't want to be equal the want to be on top.

  • @selinakyle (1) A separate space does not equal man-hating and I'm not implying that. Anyone who chooses to be in the spot light in this community should expect scrutiny, and most importantly, be responsible with their words that will ultimately shape this community. My problem is with Z, not all Dianics. While I don't agree with separatism, it's not my place to tell others what to do. If you do some research on Z for her 'dark side', you'll find she's been quite irresponsible with her words.

  • @draghynmystress then that is your culture. Where I come from my father and mother worked together to raise the family.

  • Z Budapest is a transphobic monster.

  • I am a man and I support the Dianic Craft. I don't feel "excluded" because they don't allow men or don't acknowledge male deity. As a gay man, I know about bigotry, too. For those who cry "balance, balance!", why does so much of the Craft recognize only heterosexual intimacy in its rites? Homosexuality and bisexuality are a part of nature, too. If you say it's because being straight is the only natural way, because you need a balance of a man and woman, you're no better than the Jesus folk.

  • @jajohnson7809 Many covens do not practice that rite (or even being skyclad) since it can and is abused by some people who use it to get a 'freebie' with someone more attractive than themselves. Further, I think that it's pretty clear that the only reason one would practice heterosexual intimacy only, is because they either aren't gay or followed a tradition that dictated how it be performed. It's who you perform the rites with that are your problem, not a 'proclamation' of the religion itself.

  • @lycosa2001 Because your expecting a woman, a Priestess to change her OWN covens behavior for you. You don't see anything wrong with that?? Find a different coven, find a different Path if you don't like it. Dianics have the tendency to lean more toward the female aspect of divinity than the male. And it's fine they choose to do so, that is their choice!! If you have an issue with it, go elsewhere. It is because of Z that many of us are allowed to be Wiccan freely if we choose!!

  • @draghynmystress Ya.. I guess you would see it that way.

  • @draghynmystress (Part 2) My point is, the feminist movement was facilitated through the craft... a place that was supposed to be a safe haven against sexism to begin with. In the political arena, the job market.. sure, but in the craft, it makes no sense to me to have a feminist agenda. I was taught properly about the delicate balance of good and bad, feminine and masculine..each part being necessary and complementive of the other. Where does feminism have a place in this ideology?

  • @draghynmystress(part1) I hope you don't misinterpret what I meant. I believe in the necessary feminist movement. I believe in empowering women. The fact that a good part of it was facilitated through the craft is what I have a problem with. It is unfortunate for good men that thought women equal and honored the female mysteries to find themeselves excluded based on sex. Sure you can argue that this is the exact same thing that women were fighting against. So am I just a casualty of war?

  • @lycosa2001 (Part 2) She taught women that our bodies, our scents, our secretions are all sacred, we are not dirty!! I have the utmost respect for her, even though I don't fully agree with some of her teachings. Also if I were you I would pick up a copy of her book The Holy Book of Women's Mysteries. In this wonderful book she has a section on the God, The Sacred Sons, The Salii, Sons & Lovers, Self-Dedication for Young Men, Acceptance of Manhood, Acceptance of Matriarchal Manhood.

  • @lycosa2001 (part 1) There are many reasons, I am not her nor can I speak for her. But in my exeprience dealing with Dianic witches Yes the male aspect is less recognized than female. This can be true in many covens and many Paths mainly due to people still living in patriarchial societies. Look around you, alot of gains the US has made in the last 100 years is going backwards. She was the one who encouraged women to TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!!

  • What these goofs forget is that it is a balance between male and female.' That' is the origanal source of things.

  • @ShadowDwellerXXX You must remember when this country was founded many Puritans were terrified of everything. They saw evil everywhere. And many came here with the teachings of the Inquisition, which made it worse.

  • @FortuneMirror thank you for your much warranted opinion.

  • @TheRunica The love statement I made was a bit exaggerated. But she empowers women and I don't believe this is wrong. I respect her for that. I haven't heard her make negative comments about men. So to sum it up, I think that her work in empowering women is very good. That's all.

  • @SilverNepenthes How about Z Budapest` claim that males dont have emotional feelings until 45 because of the effects of testosterone?

  • @FortuneMirror Once again, I will say that I haven't seen any of this. And I'm a guy so I know very well that we do have emotional feelings. How can she say this? Is she a male so she knows? I don't think so. I just said that it's good that she empowers women. Period. If you have issues with her, it's your problem not mine.

  • I'm Sorry.

It's Just That I Was Denied From Attending A Circle Because I'm A Male.

    It Just Seemed So...

    Hypocritical To Me.

    But I Understand.

  • What a charasmatic woman she is! I wish she would come to Germany one day. A great woman -her books taught me so much!

    Blessed be! Goddess is alive!!!

    Bravethunderheart

  • BeepathSkyclad, perhaps an on-line circle of like minded wimmen can assist your call for Lady Justice to find yet another trailside psychopath. I'm thinking of Witchvox especially so as to advertise the intent in some way. They do have a State directory that may help give you an outlet to post something for Washington State Goddess Wimmin.

Blessings and safety to all our sisters there.

  • I remember when Z Budapest called a circle regarding the capture of the Trailside Killer on Mt. Tam. Oh, yeah, she's only dangerous to a jealous patriarchy who refused to give her credit. We sure need her up here in Washington state because we have another Trailside Killer. A mother and daughter were hiking and were shot. I'm trying to gather wimmin for a circle, will keep trying.

  • Wonderful to see this and to know that Z is still out there, teaching and helping others to find the Goddess. I just finished my first year and a day in the Dianic Tradition and LOVE what I've learned. Many thanks to Z and the way she helped bring into the light.

  • At wk and cant hear but what I saw was beautiful.

  • Great job...a beautiful tribute to "one of San Francisco's most dangerous women"!

  • Merry meet thanks and many blessings to u all

  • Wonderful! How very, very great it is to see this kind of movement thriving.
