@wuutisup If it's the ZR you like, get the 03 ZR 900. It's the fastest year made. Don't bother with the ZR 800. The 03 F7's were also the fastest year. The F7 with be a bit quicker in the short run but the ZR 900 will be first at the finish line. I have the 03 ZR 900 and my son has an 04 F7. Both machines are awesome sleds.

No, its a stock 01' 700 motor (143 HP). I have a custom clutch setup and the track is picked. I can pull any stock Thundercat to and through the 1/4 mile, sometime after that depending on their setup, they usually start to pull away. ZRT 6s forget it, 8's put up a better fight and the F7's don't have long enough legs to stay with me on a long lake. I have never ran against a ZR 9, although I'm guessing it would be like the ZRT 8???

have you ever ridden a Tcat? they may be slow off the line due to their weight, but from cruising at 75mph to full throttle it will just hand the skis and take off. and they still ride and handle better with AWS, not trailing arms.... every one of my cats has been rock solid and they are all 8k+ mileage sleds.

The f7 is faster . Both of these sleds make 140 hp stock but the f7 is a little lighter and has a skinnier track making it faster.

not only is it about displacement but weight.
older cats like tcats and ZRTs weigh alot, so i will admit they are slower in the 1/4, but once they really get in the power band they will be gone.

Like I said, ZRT's so far have not been an issue for me. Thundercats will pull away from me AFTER the 1/4 mile.
Remember the 01' SRX 700 is the fastest box stock 1/4 mile drag sled out there, and with my clutching mines even snappier.
