  • This was one of my most favorite songs on this album for it's slow "pocket" groove.

  • IT IS REFRESHING TO SEE A DRUMMER PLAYING TRADITIONEL GRIP.

  • RIP Don Cornelius

  • I agree @ bobrich. This is the most soulful white band there ever was, and will ever be. And I'm black.

  • @cindefella100 Not many artists can do this live and organically anymore..no samples, nothing digital..And I'm white.

  • I used to be in love with Hamish...he had so much feeling of soul, wait... I think I am still in love with him!!! LOL! Still one of my favorite groups ever..

  • That is some funky shhhoooooiiiittttt

  • Now that was the BOMB!!!!!!!!

  • Man o Man!! That'some funky, slow burnin' sh&%!! Back when R&B was music. Love that band.

  • Under rated funk jam, where Too $hort got the sample for "Life is ..Too Short".

  • god that's good!

  • White boys got da funk !!!

  • ALWAYS LOVED Hamish's voice. Sweet

  • Too Short: Life is..... and Eric B and Rakim: Microphone Fiend........

  • Great performance James Brown would be proud

  • This is one of their BEST songs Really Funky Bass Riff,,,even James Brown would be proud!...I still remember the song like it was yesterday..10th grade baby all the way!

  • @DROly1 Hamish Stuart and Alan Gorrie= The Lennon / McCartney of funk. These dudes could write / play / SING their asses off. It's one thing for a person to just have singing talent, but THESE dudes were the WHOLE package, just like the Beatles, only WAY funkier.

  • Had plenty of these school boy crushes and I enjoyed each and every one of them in some fashion or another. (to bad I'm not in school anymore cause I'm ready for another one just like the other one.)

  • beatiful feel good funky! Enjoy "Joggyn Smyler" music and videos

  • One of my favorites here. I always thought Soul Train was not set up to allow the performers sing live. I must have missed something here during my years of watching the show because I remember many did the lip sync thing. Not here, these guys are doing live vocals and music. Great performance.

  • This is one of my most favorites, from back in the day.

  • The Soothing Saltines...

  • 1-2-3-4-5-6-7

All good children go to Heaven!

(10th grade, baby! Those were the days!)

  • This episode aired on December 6, 1975 with musical guests Average White Band and The Undisputed Truth.

  • If it starts to rain..we can take some shelter! Oooooo...

  • Ohhh...how I long for the good ole days. This reminds me of a world that was much simpler. I wish I can jump into a time machine and go back. I will remember the prime directive to not affect the space-time continuum.

  • @loverton1962 Didn't seem so simple then.

  • Just a kick ass jam!!!

  • My favorite AWB jam. It's too funky in here!

  • Damn that 's funky. I'm glad they didn't speed it up but it kept it slow and funky how it was originally recorded.

  • @ 3:45....note the Soulful, Throat Clearing. Dude certainly had genuine SOUL for a White Boy. Do Yo Thang Baby!!!!

    PEACE

  • @ddesign63 yeah!

  • Straight up pocket groove!!!! I remember wearing their albums out when I was a kid! 8-)

  • Nas halftime

  • Heeey!

  • Back then I called it the British invasion of funk!

  • she said, HEEEEEY...wait a minute...HOOOOLD OOOON..

  • Almost forgot what it was like to have real musicians who played real instruments and sang with their own voices. Ahhh..take me back..way, way, way back.

  • @robinandyusuf amen.

  • Very under rated band. real soul knows no color. good is just plain good.

  • meet me at the playground, at a quarta ta 4......

  • FUNKING AWESOME !!!

  • I cant get this song out of my head.... GREAT musicians !!

  • @HodgesGuitars Agree... just look at this Soul Train perfomance... the bass player -Alan Gorrie- is playing guitar..and one of the guitarists - Hamish- is playing bass !

    Great upload my friend!♪
