I also work in Superdry have done for a year. I totally agree! some customers are seriously ridiculous! Im constantly having rants exactly like yours. Have you been asked if we sell wellies and fishing equiptment.....NO we sell clothes....
I work in a Gap Outlet, so it is basically a cheap clothes store like Primark, but with the standards of a high street store. So you get one extreme type of customer who is just looking for cheap crap and ends up turning every pile of clothes into a ball, and another who is expecting a really well presented store at all times and expects a personal shopper experience.
I actually have quite a few stories to tell so I might make a video in response to this. I need to be more active on youtube :P

You can obviously tell who has worked in retail before and who hasn't because the people that have most of the time treat you tons better than the people that haven't because they know what it's like to work in retail where people are idiots. I work at a coffee shop. Yay for people coming in and complaining that their coffee doesn't taste right...........not. >.<
@melissacosman Yeah I see that, some customers can come up to and be real nice. These customers get me through the day, because they really cheer me up! Specially the ones who just chat to you for a while lol (usually the old folk lol)
I tend to be the same when I go into other stores now, I find myself being nice to the staff because I know how they must feel lol
Oh dear, that would bug me if someone told me their drink didn't taste right!
@WatchingMatthew Yeah. That's half the reason I still work where I do because of the people that are genuinely nice to you.
I remember this one time where this person ordered a drink with no foam but light whipped cream and then complained that it had foam on it and I had to remake her drink twice. ( If you put a little whipped cream on something it's going to melt and become foam. Obviously she didn't realize that. )
@melissacosman Oh dear, another classic case of stupid customers. They really do act really dumb when shopping don't they. Ask the most stupid questions, they must leave the shop and thing - "why did I really ask that question..."
@WatchingMatthew Yeah. I believe there are people like that, but then there are the people that just don't think at all. The people that want what they want and they want it when it's convienient for them and not others.
I have never worked in retail but I worked at a bar for ages. Oh the stories matthew they would make you weep...with disappointment cause it was a bar full of old men and it was really boring. =P Merry Christmas! =D

Okay, buddy, you wana hear a horror story? One of my friends works in a clothing store, and her manager once told her that before my friend started working there, there was this one girl who got really drunk (who actually worked in the store too), and she came in, went into the fitting room, and --um-- made a bowl movement! LOL like ew!! And the manager had to clean it up! LOL how raunch!
