Iceland doesn't even have a volcano that looks even remotely like this, it's CGI.

The plane dumped all the guitars on a field, then all the camera crew and some local Scout groups helped them pick up every guitar they threw away.

The first eruption was a small fissure ( bit[dot]ly/m1Pws8 just replace the [dot] with a . ), the second was explosive and under a very thick ice blanket. Most of our active volcanoes are under glaciers, this could be referencing Askja or Krafla but those haven't erupted in a long time.
