  • Sem dúvida nenhuma, a melhor adaptação em desenho para este clássico personagem que marcou toda uma geração. Parabéns Filmation.

  • If I were a kid again, I'd lead a protest against USDA certified trash they serve at lunch, protest war and incite the first elementary school riot to bring back Filmation.

  • Great link...to repeat what has already been said, brings me back to my childhood and Saturday mornings.

  • Why aren't these on cartoon network??? All the other old stuff is....I wonder! I tore up my parents furniture watching these... I was in the jungle too.lol.

  • The animation in this series is superb!

  • Even as a child you are taught the Danger's of a snake and crocodile but stroking a Lion is ok ? lol

  • tarzan is the man thanks for the memories

  • legend

  • Unk, little Nakima!

  • It would be nice if they released this cartoon to DVD. I guess I'll be an old man before that happens.

  • His monkey deserved a good shoeing.

  • This is the cartoon!!!! Not bull shit like Teletabis retarded shit!!!! And rest of new shit!!!

  • i luv youtube

  • These shows had great music also. Eerie and trippy, good stuff!

  • Cartoons aren't cool like this anymore. Too computer animated now.

  • awesome!! brilliant!!! why don't we have cartoons like this now? honor, justice, mercy, these things helped me to become the man i am today!! what a great and wonderful find. thanks to the uploader. PEACE. (now where is blackstar?)

  • This is the cool Tarzan I grew to know.

  • I feel like I'm 12 again. Thanks for this. They need to bring this one to cartoon network!!!!!

  • do you have tarazan on dvd

  • I remeber these cartoons as a kid thanks for uploading these videos

  • Those swinging moves were all ripped off the old Spiderman cartoons.

  • gowd i miss this toon!!

  • they dont have any more Saturday morning cartoons any more.

  • Filmation was the shit, back in the 60s and 70s. I always remember the black panther jumping at Tarzan and seeing Tarzan walking through the waterfall. Priceless cartoon. :)

  • the only time they screwed up was when they did Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam. The graphics on that cartoon sucked. But He-Man and the Masters of the Universe made them look better. your right Filmation was was the shit during the 60's 70's and early 80's.

  • @boofdfast Disney movies were more beautiful in the 60's than now. Jungle Book is amazing

  • The Tarzan animation is similar to He-man and She-Ra in the '80s as the same company made them- Filmation.

  • I remember these Tarzan cartoons when I was 9. As I look at again for the first time in 26 years I notice somthing familiar about the animation. He-Man cartoons in 1984! The styles are so similar! If I only had one more chance to be a kid again. Just... One.. More... Chance... UHhh!

  • Same animation company as He-Man and Flash Gordon 1979 series. Used live actors, then drew over them Disney style.

  • yup, rotoscoping. It's the same technique used in the old Max Fleischer Superman serials of the 40's and AHA's "Take on Me" music video

  • @vigotheunholy you got it right man about filmation and there animation hahahahaha

  • @alwerks1 good eyes, yes "Filmation" was the company that made the animated Star Trek and the Tarzan/Batman/ Zorro/The Lone Ranger AND Lassie's Rescue Rangers Gilligan's Island, The Brady Kids, Archie, Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids. They had a ton of work in the 60s and 70s. Bravestarr, He-Man and She-Ra were some of the last projects in the 80s before they closed down.

  • Good anatomy, and it is so classic!

  • Why does he move so slow when swinging from vine to vine lol...

  • brings back memories of wakin up saturday mornings eatin hungryjack biscuits and cream of wheat cereal

  • Thxs..tht was my show when i was grown up..that and wild boy and big foot until G-force hit the scene...

  • Wow nice movementes in the animation... not even the new cartoons have em : /

  • wow..my favorite cartoon from childhood!

    bring memories...

  • 7:02 lol at their face

    I love this episode XD

  • Youtube is a time travel machine, this time straight to my childhood. This was my favorite cartoon. Yes, thanks for posting this! :-)

  • Thank you for posting this. It brings back warm memories of childhood. This was one of my all time favorites.

  • Classic 70s cartoon, scary music (for a 7 year old).

  • "THIS IS MY DOMAIN!!!" ...that frightened me!

  • I loved this cartoon......brings back so many memories. Saturday mornings as a child are the greatest moments you ever had. Watching cartoon til noon and then heading out to see what your friends were doing.......

  • That's it exactly!!

  • Great cartoon! Tarzan, Star Trek, and Sealab were my three faves growing up. I always loved the music on these shows. They didn't sound 'canned" but were used (and re-used) decently

  • Funny that someone should mention He-Man. If you notice...some of the very same animation, movements (eg Tarzan running, walking and anles of his head) were used in He-Man. They were "traced over" by He-Man animators and re-skinned with the He-Man characters.

  • sure, you´re right! they´re similar in therms of animation because they´re both made by Filmation! plus, there´s an episode of He-Man ( I can´t remember the name of it) where a lion ( just like this lion you see on Tarzan´s cartoons) fights against battlecat...

and there´s an episode from " Ghostbusters" ( from filmation) which takes place in Africa and Filmation used the same African background you see on Tarzan´s cartoons...

  • Birdman reminds me of Stratos from He-an.

  • For all the criticism Filmation gets, they had some true gems. For instance, their STAR TREK was the only version of TREK to win an Emmy. And this version of Tarzan remains today one of TV or the movies' most faithful adaptations of the books. It uses N'Kima from the books rather than "Cheeta." He speaks eloquently as in the books (No "me Tarzan" crap). And the jungle cities are usually cities from teh books.

  • Great Collect glad you saved them. Anyone know who did the Voice?

  • Robert Ridgely did the voice of Tarzan. Unfortunately he died in 1997.

  • Thanks for letting me know, I watched this every Saturday when they had really great cartoon line ups. The cartoon channel is OK, but it's 24/7 cartoons not all of them retro so Saturday is not any thing kids can look forward any more. I think I enjoyed this Tarzan the most, The real Tarzan is still alive I think, He had a real Lion, but it got out of the house and the police shot it. I felt bad for him. The Lion was the only thing he had. In a way that guy was still the original Tarzan.

  • thank you for the information! I´m a huge fan of this cartoon too!

  • Also voiced General Ross in the 82 Hulk cartoon.

  • Don't forget Manta and Moray as well as Ark II and Flash Gordon.

  • does anyone know if these ever landed to dvd yet?

  • tarsän...lol

  • Do you have the Disney series, legend of tarzan?

  • the sound of the wind while he swing from a liana to onother allways staied wth me.. class

  • Uh, my 5yr old son would lik to post something; thanks hexseeker for Tarzan cartoons Now my 8yr old daughter: wheres Jane? I'll explain it to her.

  • im lookn for a cartoon that use to come on either before this one did or after it...it was a batman cartoon. all i can remeber is that batman would swind down from his grapple to a flag pole...do a flip into his batmobile...any answers...

  • You are probably thinking about the The New Adventures of Batman that featured appearances by Bat Mite, and was voiced by Adam West & Burt Ward. You can order it from Amazon. I did.

  • I've been looking for years for this cartoon... I take it it's made by the same people that did He-man? How amazing to see it again! Totally right about saturday mornings - watching all the kids tv in bed until 12

  • yes swamposs! this cartoon is made by FILMATION! these are some os their best cartoons :

    1 - Tarzan, lord of the jungle ( 1976)

2 - He-man and the masters of the universe( 1983)

    3 - Bravestarr ( 1987)

    4 - Ghostbusters ( that one with the gorilla - 1986)

    5 - Flash Gordon ( 1979)

6 - Will the real Jerry Lewis please sit down ( 1970)

7 - Blackstar ( 1981) there are much more, these are just some of my favotites cartoons from FILMATION!

  • Filmation also did Fat Albert, and the redux of Mighty Mouse and Heckle and Jeckle.

  • sure! very nice of you bringing them over!!

  • u forgot the mask of zorro

  • good point!

  • This takes me back to the days when Saturday mornings used to MEAN something. You had to get up early or risk being the only kid in school who didn't see Fat Albert, Star Blazers, or Tarzan. Could you even compare this to today's fare?

  • great job on the video....its thursday evening and this makes it feel like saturday morning....do you have the other filmation cartoons of zorro and the lone ranger

  • Unfortunately I do not have. I am trying to get the cartoons: Journey to the earths core (filmation)

  • The Zorro and Lone Ranger vols. 1 & 2 have been released on DVD.

  • what is Disney ;)

  • Brilliant! teachs Disney a thing or two.
