  • Seems to. Apparently helps the brain understand all the strange sensations it's getting from the limb that's not there anymore. There's a British neuroscientist, VS Ramachandran, who's done a lot of work on it. First time I've heard of it being used with a guy who's lost a leg tho, usually people who've lost an arm.
