Watched the long way round a few years ago, liked some parts of it and thought I might like this Long way down too...but No. It has only reminded me of what I learned in the first one; that Ewan and his buddy, although very nice, are also spoiled and child-ish . Ewan is very softened by his wife, and Charlie is so....flamboyant. I know they have wive and kids but does everything need to be so P.G? The show is melodramatic and uninteresting. The good part never comes.

They have to think of all the "boring" bullshit that keeps everyone safe and running, AND he's slogging on with the rest of them. Think about it: Who deals with the Visas? Who pays for the Hotels? It sucks, because this is supposed to be THEIR trip. They have a rigorous schedule that they need to follow. It would piss me off if i was on a trip of a lifetime and had to be certain places at certain times.

well, if they dident they woulda took a year to get down to capetown, and they cant be away for that long, i wouldent have a schedual but then again, they are both actors and ewan is a very busy man so yeah, bit nessecary really

i think the biggest problem was the boat. if they had to wait for a day to catch the next one i dont think it would have been such an issue. but one whole week would definitely get them behind schedule a lot. and in the beginning, when Ewan hurt his foot still at home, they mentioned that Ewan has some commitments after that, and he can't miss it. so yeah... it's a trip of a lifetime, but... they can't get behind schedule.
