For pjak it means they are fucked. PKK gambled that after 2003 invasion of Iraq, Americans would go on and attack Iran. So they created PJAK in 2004 who concentrated their fight on Iran. The Medes in no way would be considered an 'Empire' compared to the Persian Dynasties, Scythian Dynasties, Parthian and Bactrian Dynasties. They occupied parts of Persia land there on after. The Zand (I have a family tree from them and I am 16 generations down the line directly related to Loft Ali Zand.) They were Laki and were not Kurds, they came from the Indo-Scythian Empire.

It was thanks to efforts of Ferdowsi, Taharids, Saffarids, Samanids and the Buyid Dynasty that Iranians recovered their land from the Arabs by the 9th century and the Parsis that kept our zoroastrian texts, traditions, and religion alive and kept alive those traditions that the rest of today's Iranians as well celebrate today.

Does Europe count as a Democracy? They still have their Royals and Monarchs with their traditions and history: For Iranians to loose theirs is outrageous. Iranian Monarchy = Thousands of Years of Stability and Tradition. A well set up monarchy, with elected district representation, involvement of independent organizations made up of citizens and bureaus to take the complaints of citizens and an elected parliament which will act upon these complaints.
