@Dakellymonster I use a Wacom Intuos3, but you dont need that or photoshop to draw cool stuff. Just use a pen and some paper, then start drawing the crap out of that paper! ;D

a red glow effect would be quite easy in photoshop just use a very soft brush and set that specific layer with a lower opacity, then use a harder brush to create the middle

i dont like the pose though, looks too stiff. either make it concept art (in a T-pose and direktly from the front) or make him stand in a cool pose like he is fighting somebody, adds more drama!

and also try to clean up your lines. strong confident lines alway look more professional than little stroky lines! keep it up!

You might want to do thumbnail poses of your character before jumping into the final drawing. With practice, it will give your characters energy, rythm but especially dynamism. An action line is paramount, especially before detailing. Keep drawing man :)
