Wow. When he hit the three they were all probably shocked yet relieved. It seemed like a joke. All night long he drove it and probably got the basket if not a foul and then to jus hit a 3.
Honestly, the more MJ games from the 80s and early 90s I watch, the more I think we need to do a blood and NDA test on MJ, to find out if hes actually a human...This guy was so great he nearly ruined NBA basketball; watching everyone playing today after seeing this guy young and on his game isnt all that enjoyable.
Jordan made the game look so easy. His ability to attack the creases in the defense was unparalled. i liken it to Barry Sanders. Just insane the way those guys could hit the seams.
Like I've always said, no one in history (to this day) has ever made better use of the hop step in all its forms than Jordan. Look at 6:11 how he uses a lateral hop step going to the left to get to a spot on the floor, and then immediately jumps back to the RIGHT, towards the basket. That's not only incredibly difficult to do physically that quickly and get any sort of air on the second jump, but it requires great awareness to recognize that there was an opening there.
LOL No foul call at 3:51. Would've been a FT and possibly a flagrant today. :P Amazing concentration to hit that shot while jack-knifing in the air like that and falling down.
Anyone impressed with that long 3 in the end of the video? Im not..Simply cause i know MJ could hit those as well as anyone, it just wasnt the way he wanted to approach the game. Where's the fun in hitting deep threes when u can fly past an entire team on ur way to the hoop. That's the beauty in MJ's game, he didnt settle for anythin easy. He could kill u from anywhere
Exactly. Personally, I don't want to see the 3 since MJ's nonpareiled creativity going to the hoop was what made him so brilliant athletically. Look at that hanging, power drive at 4:00. The calm-fast-break at 5:45 where MJ checks the defense as they set up and then goes for the slice to the hoop. Too much vision and skill in one player - it's unfair.
Bulls lost this game. Bulls lost all 6 regular season meetings against the Cavs in the 1988-89 season, but they got their revenge in the playoffs courtesy of "the shot".
if this is after a 5 year carrer, then it is the 1990-91 season

MJ's spin moves around the rim were incredible. Nobody's ever done it better.

must be from the 1988-1989 season, because bill cartwright is on the team.
