Don't forget to accept the trophy hunts in Phon Coast first before doing this..

IF YOU HAVENT ACCEPTED THE TROPHY HUNTS, VORRES WILL NOT APPEAR..

thanks for help, its nice with commentary, but after stolen 1 piece of soulpowder do i then have to zone out and in again before stealing number 2. soulpowder, or can i just keep stealing after number 1 soulpowder?

the dark elemental only has 20% chance of spawning i heard... i killed it too once but all you need to do is to keep zoning in and out. it'll appear eventually, just keep trying. also killing the enemies in the area before spawning it might be convenient but it's not required.

need help here. i only got 1 soul powder to go for my tournesol.i got one from ixtab, stole one from vorres but i cnt re-spawn vorres. n the dark elemental is gone. what did i do wrong??

It's a little tricky -- I get the elemental to follow me past the one point, and killed it, then Vorres showed up after a little running around. At the time, I only needed one Soul Powder, so I didn't have to re-spawn him.

When you wrote for a prerequisite "Defeat Doctor Cid" did you mean the first time after the Archades part or after you kill Cid in the Pharos?

Yes and no. You can spawn Vorres again for another soul powder as long as he does not die. You will never have more than one of him spawn however. And you cannot use the Tournesol before you steal a soul powder because a soul powder is required to make the Tournesol.

Well thank's a lot for the information that one of the bangaa's offers has to be accepted before the side quest is considered to be completed. It was written nowhere else and it's going to save me lots of time. I nearly went crazy cause i've done the whole tournesol-process before and since it worked back then I really started wondering what I missed this time.

That one doesn't count. You need to spawn the one in the Ivory Covenant.

Join the Hunt Club at the Phon Coast (you need to complete one hunt to do that). Then get to the Necrohol of Nabudis (from the Deadlands). Just go to the Hall of the Ivory Covenant. Head south. If you don't encounter a Dark Elemental keep going in and out of the entrance (to the next room) at the south end of the HalloftheIvoryCovenant (that should be fine for zoning). When the Dark Elemental appears, steal from it or aggravate it somehow, but DO NOT KILL IT.

You know how the Hall is basically symmetrical (the North and South ends are reflections of each other). Lead your Dark Elemental up across the mid-line of the entire Hall (bring it past the big set of doors in the center). Actually, just refer to the video at this point; it's good. (You could have just watched it in the first place....)

Thanks for listing the prereqs! No one else bothered to say you had to do the Phon Coast Hunt Club business to spawn the dude (you don't need to talk to them to spawn Negalmuur, after all). I wasted so much time on this.

whats the percentage on Dark elemental showing in Ivory Covenant and where does it spawn in the the hall?....o and if you all didnt know, rare Trophy Game will only spawn once. After you kill it, it wont spawn again...EVER =)

Head to the Hall of the Ivory Covenant and keep zoning back and forth until the Dark elemental spawns, you only need to zone away 1 zone, not 2. I would say that the chances of spawning him each time is 10 - 15%.

That is true, but this is the earliest soul powder you can receive, therefore netting you a shiny, new tournesol before unlocking hidden henne mines after killing 10 espers

Thalassinon in phon coast, he should give you instructions on how to beat it, try searching rare game walkthrough on google.

Go to Phon Coast to the building opposite of the item merchant, and talk to the guy at the top of the stairs. This is the Hunt Club, you need to do this side quest to spawn Vorres. Follow his instructions and defeat Thalassinon, then come back and talk to one of the 3 other guys, and skip through all of the text and choose Accept. I only killed Thalassinon, and he never spawned, you MUST to talk to one of the bangaa's and accept their proposal before the game reads the side-quest as completed.

the dark elemental will not appear how long does it usualy take?

usually its 20%, so if it doesn't appear after you follow all of the steps, then just re-enter the map up to 5 times

question, how long does it take to steal from Vorres? I've been trying to steal the Soul powders away, for only over an hour and nothing yet, all in the same battle? Can you help me with this? I'm keeping him alive until I get the items, oh and thanks for the vid, it was really helpful!

Soul Powder is actually a rare steal, it has probably about a <5% chance for you to steal it, you just probably were kinda unlucky, try getting all 3 characters to steal from him all at once.
