Only bad thing about a 240z is it doesn't have a solid axle. It has an independent rear suspension which is more for real racing.

So sick. Those Inline six's did no justice to how nice the body style of these were. I drove a five speed Inline 6 1979 Datsun 280 ZX . I always wish I had the resources and know how to put a super charged V8 in it. I got a 1985 dodge van after with a 5.9 liter 360 V8 with ported and polished heads, bored out block, and many other engine upgrades. I loved that van. Had to end up selling it, was about $4,000 away from having a really nice van.

@MrExporteh you can use the rear end out of a 280zx or 300z. they're a bit bigger and can handle a bit more torque. plus the 280z bolts right in with only a few minor adjustments. if you're looking for just the drag queen though, go with a ford 9". got a 355ci sbc in mine pushing about 450 to the wheels haven't had any problems yet.
