I looked for the wire you used for the inside of the cable at w w w. mcmaster. com, but do not know what size you used, can you please supply a part number or other info so I can place an order for it? Thanks again
@brobillntexas Hey Bill, Thanks for checking out my videos I went ahead and got a direct link for you. I think the smaller the wire the better. I try to stick to 150lb capacity or above. Good luck with your project and be sure to upload a video of the finished product. God bless.
I really like your videos. I am now going to start back on building the pan and tilt I started last year again. After seeing your video and you explaining where the cables came from and the locking nuts for them and the use of the square tubing, it all now makes sense. Thanks and God Bless you.
yeah ur one is the best in the youtube- i'm in the midst of building one, and i'm definitely using urs for guidance- but i hope you have videos on how you pan and tilt it(like how its made). great job!
@aerohells07 I agree, this is amazing, and the results are as smooth as anything you could buy ( with the proper amount of practice of course) I'm amazed that more people haven't hit this site to see this.
Your design is the most ingenious design compared to any other home built out their or on Youtube. I Love your cable controlled pan/ tilt head. You use your head...I mean your Brain. Good Job..... I work for TIFFEN and frequently check home built designs. You did well.
No. The arm is made of EMT conduit, which is a metal pipe used primarily for electrical installation. I chose it because it is cheap (about US$12.00 for a ten-foot piece), and it is widely available (at most hardware stores). Fencing tube is pretty much the same thing.
What weight camera will this support?
AtlantaTerry 6 months ago
@AtlantaTerry I haven't tested to see, but it supported my Canon XH-A1 (5.3lbs) easily.

@AtlantaTerry I never pushed it to it's limits but it handled my Canon XH-A1 (5.3 lbs or 2.4 kgs) pretty well.

Does it have HDMI input?
dreambuilders48808 2 years ago
