  • Melissa Thanks for your response, I appreciate it! He obviously works hard on these videos. The issue is that since this is a public announcement essentially there are people of all race and background watching. Including Muslims, Jewish, and Atheists, none of which are probably expecting to be blessed at the end of the Grocery Outlet ad. Grocery Outlet obviously has no religious opinion, therefore neither should their spokesperson. He is speaking to a vast crowd! Thanks!

    We debated Chris's "God Bless" endings in these videos. Grocery Outlet takes no position on the existence of God. Chris believes strongly in God and was not agreeable to his language being restricted. So, in the social media tradition of inclusion and authenticity, we decided that we wanted Chris to be our video spokesperson - and with that came the acceptance of the phrase "God Bless" in his videos. These videos are Chris, authentically being Chris. We hope you understand. Melissa
