I really don't agree with hot branding, it's far more painful that freeze branding. But at the very least these guys were gentle with the horses, and everything was very, very fast.
What an Adventure! I started by watching about the chickens... (I'm in the US and was looking up chicken coop construction for our 5 Rhode Island Reds and 1 white Bantam hen) and have just felt like I fell into your lives and trials and tribulations... ...and the fox... I'm so sorry... we lost our rooster to a dog today (it broke into their temporary coop and I thought both the Bantam hen and rooster had been killed but it was only the rooster, Gloria had gotten away! Bless her!)
They are beautiful horses. It probably stings like a shot. I hope that they get some kind of treats after going through that. I know the doctor's office usually gives kids stickers to make them forget all about their shot, not that you could do that for horses. LOL
What do you mean cruel? I know it burns their skin but it heals within a few days and it is for their own good. Without it the breeders would not be able to keep track of an individual horses health, what vaccines it has been given, any illnesses it has had etc. Also, it reduces the chances of them being stolen and exploited by a less conscientious farmer.
sorry I probably sounded a little harsh there lol!
Most horses usually are'nt branded like that. If you were to brand you could do freeze branding which turns all of the hair white, it is permanent and it only stings a little, most horses never even move when you freeze brand them.
Most horses in history were branded with fire, your mistaken to believe that it is cruel or uncommon. Most people see it and think that is cruel or something only because society and the media have made our natural role in the world far less apart of the world. I prefer branding because for me its a cultural and historical thing for me being a Texan.

I've been watching your videos, I have a request for when you return to Paraguay.
Could you check out a stevia farm? It's originally from Paraguay and there isn't much on the inetrnet on it.
