you can stream them from the net, whats the big deal? If anything I would say it is a good thing you can't take his videos since he makes money out of ad revenue each time you visit his site and frankly his tutorials are some of the best on the web.

In a nutshell I created a 3d box in After Effects, added a flickering light, added some text at the end, then animated a 3D camera with low depth of field to fly down to where the text was and just chill there for a bit.

It was After Effects CS3, I think. I haven't used the program properly since I made this over a year ago. You can find trials for the software on the Adobe website. Google should help.
