Toonami introduced me to Anime and I have been hooked since.

It was the greatest thing to happen to CN since the Looney Toons.

I wish Toonami would get its own station and play its Anime 24/7 and show CN what it was missing out on.

I remember when I was 5-6 years old in 2001. Coming from school and watching DBZ,Hamtaro, and Yu Yu Hakusho. Then after that i'd play some good ol' WWF and I'd do that all week until Friday. Cartoon Fridays would come on and I would always look forward to a new episode of Dexter's Lab,Poweruff Girls,Ed Edd n Eddy,Johnny Bravo. Then on saturdays wake up 2 watch Fox Kids and KidsWB while I eat breakfast. Sundays and I looked forward to seeing all the classics. Ahhhh those were the good old days...

There's this tv that you could get that lets you get online and pick from shows to watch on tv. I'm going to get that so my kids don't have to sit and watch shitty tv when they want something decent to watch. Only two hours of telly a day though. Toonami was not a fad, but a phenomenon that changed the lives of thousands of kids. Cartoon Network is dead, and Adult Swim is hanging by a thread, but perhaps there will be hope again someday...for TV to once again play shows with value and true merit.

If Cartoon Network wants to regain its credibility, it needs to get rid of "Hole in the Wall (Fox reject)," those other live-action shows and then put up some anime again. Not just Pokemon and Bakugan. Have a blend of old and new, and heck, have Adult Swim back to a couple of nights a week like it once did. It was the anime fans and classic cartoon fans that built the network! CN would do well to remember it.

I miss Toonami, it was certainly something else. With all the blocks we have now, children of the 90s and early 2000s of course would want most of these shows back. When I was growing up, I lived for Toonami. It was the essential part of my day, and I remember coming home every day after school to watch my favorite shows. I have so many fond memories of this simple cartoon programming block, just this two-hour programming block, that it's almost painful to recall these memories. If I ever had the chance to go back in time, I'd go back to that glorious first day I discovered it, and relive all those years. Alas, that is but a dream.
