I rmemeber sitting in a French lesson in school talking about how good 'The Freeze' was a few day's after it had been released with a girl who I had never spoken to before was. At first Spandau Ballet were original, stylish, undergound, clandestine, designeresque, somewhere to belong, love-lorn and inspired... ...then they sold some records and made 'True' and all that was righteous about them turned them into a belatedly embittered cashcow. I really love the first 2 albums X

No one will ever be like Spandau Ballet. I have always loved them but I guess that is cuz I was into that scene in the 80's and being a New Romantic as we were called was something beautiful cuz it was our trade mark. These guys oozed and still ooze sexiness. Love them always

I'm so glad they're getting back together and touring. Their music and image was just too good to throw away. And Hadley's voice ranks up there with one of pop music's greatest ever vocal offerings.
