Dude, most bass boils down to expensive firewood, if you can't play... if you think that spector or warwick is top of the line then you still have to learn young padawan. I heard a itama drum that sounded a lil better than a mapex pro m which price was two fold of the tama. Gear don't make music or sound it's all in how you approach it.
didn't said ibanez owned (even though, i own one), i just said that gear doesn't matter if it's good music. I mean people played Fender(ish) P-basses for 57 years and it's not the most technologically advanced nor the most expensive bass on the market. But's it's the right sound.
@Killenmachine05 PTH are geniuses and they're among my favorites. Because they're about a little more than just plain dumb heavy music. Kezia is basically novel about feminism, humanism and the pressure of society; Fortress is about the conflicting nature of the human race, the disappearance of the divine female and few more things... Similar lyrical themes are sure there in other progressive metal bands but most aren't as well thought out or well presented as theirs.
You are a complete moron. I happen to own an Ibanez sr505 and A Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass And I would take the Ibanez any day in Versatility, Sustain, looks if need be, and playability. If you automatically think Warwick and Spector are the best, you obviously haven't heard of Zon or Pedulla.
Pedulla and Zon are in a completely different class than Warwick and Spector. The price difference is giant. I own a Warwick and an Ibanez SR706 and while the Ibanez is very versatile, I'd take the Warwick over it any day. I do love the neck profile on the 706 though, it's so nice.
You need some skills to pull that off. The thumb and the index need to sync with the left changing from notes to harmonics. It's a matter of figuring out the succession of notes and harmonics. Notice he's not moving at all, just keep your hand and single out every note he's using, then figure out the pattern.
Yeah, that part doesn't sound completely right. It looks like Arif moves his hand to the lower end of the neck at that part, might be the 5th frets. The chords right after that are wrong too. What can you expect though, hard shit to tab.
yea, i think they got an ibby or two in the studio, but live and in previous recordings they use ESP/LTD guitars. Luke uses the Eclipse series while Tim seems to prefer the Horizon series. for amps, i know they use 6505s (maybe 6505+s) and Dual Rectos (depends on the venue it seems).
there current gear consists of.. Bass: Spector/emerald custom paint.. Arif uses nothing less.. Tim Plays A ESP/LTD Viper 500, with seymour Duncan Pickups, And Luke is using a Green Ibanez S-prestige series. with standard Ibanez humbuckers. amps, Mesa cabs. and mesa(Tim) and marshal(Luke) heads. and pedals.. they use boss.. watched them at MTV Tussel in the temple.. saw all there gear.. it was sick
so i'm guessing that's protest new song in the backround, sounds pretty good. (I'm talking about the song in the backround when they weren't practising, pretty much from the beginning to 0:59.)
Does anyone know what song Rody was singing in the beginning?
