  • wonderful, love it!

  • 4;:40 i d been there

  • Great video Nightgirl. Thanks for putting this cool video up.

  • love this video.. it really has some special dark charm ;) love the walk through dark alleys and bakc streets.. have to say.. quite brave though ;) I dunno if I'd do that alone to be honest! :) great music too

  • Thanks, Jackie! It's much appreciated x

  • @JackieWild is is good song sweet

  • This is absolutely fab. The music, the light and the atmosphere they both create. You're a genius.

  • Thank you, you're very kind! (I didn't make the music, of course!)

    D

  • London is a depressing place I must say

  • Very cool, creepy and evocative of Victorian horrors with the musical accompaniment. (But we need more neo-conservativism like we need dong cancer.)

  • GREAT JOB BRILLIANT these summer I also walked trough London at Night and I enjoyed every minut. Just the music makes these film so awesome.

    Take care

  • From Texas, so cool... Thanks for the tour, what is that great music? Enjoy and be careful.

  • Thanks for the very kind words!

The music was from the soundtrack to the film "Inside Man", by a jazz musician turned composer called Terence Blanchard. Highly recommended!

  • i want you to come with me and show me lodnon around, nice video! nice girl

  • ...absolutely FANTASTIC!

  • absolutely brilliant very spooky and the music adds to the atmosphere. me and mum stayed at the apex hotel in seething lane. we thought it so weird the city is closed at weekends. love the city and the eastend. going to watch part 2

  • You know...youtube is incredible. I thought I would never be able to find videos of someone walking through London at night like this.

But luckily there is someone else just as nocturnal as me, that lives in London, and does just that.

I want to go to London so bad and see it at night and go to nightclubs and party. This is the closest thing to being there at night. Thank you so much for these videos (just don't get hurt out there!)

    YOU ROCK NightGirlLondon !!

    5 stars and subscribed!

  • Ahh a girl of me own heart. I would go for a walk with you, i love it and also the walk from waterloo to london dungeons by southwark there are some lovely cobbled streets and dark alleys.

  • The same as negrocastro said about Buenos Aires, is here in Brazil. Even if just outside your own garden here during after midnight you could of be dead already (depending where you live). I would love to do that here too. In Buenos Aires I felt safe though. Much more safe than here in Brazil.

    Nice video ;)

  • i would looove to do that ! even though am in morocco !!

  • if you, done that here in buenos aires.... you'd be dead by now!

  • There are people who would say the same about London, but as you can see, I am fine! The part I walked around in is pretty safe - the financial district, which is empty at night. There definitely parts of London I would NOT feel safe in during the day, never mind at night!

  • It's not so scary when you catch some drunken slapper falling over with her knickers round' her ankles.

  • That would depend on what she looks like. I've seen some horrors, I can tell you...

  • Cool

  • think i got interested London's dark streets t after watching that Ackroyd series a few years back.Hmm... he's not so bad as a tv presenter .A bit unusual from the normal type which made him interesting

  • oh , Peter Ackroyd , thanks :thumb: .Sorry , my asking about images at certain points was just me being silly.Hadb't actually seem anything.I was rahter drunk when i posted all these comments.I was searching for "spooky london graveyards" and found your videos.I was getting in the mood for Halloween... I do enjoy them though , something very spooky about the London streets at that time of night

  • Totally! I love trying to spook myself out - hence walking through a graveyard in the middle of the night!

  • reminds me of that tv series about London David Ackroyd did a couple of years back , think it's the same music he used (?)

  • Peter Ackroyd (rather than David :-D) is a great writer - I am reading his "biography" of the River Thames) but he was a terrible presenter on television! The series was well made though, and I enjoyed it.

This music is not music from that series. It is by a composer called Terence Blanchard.

  • i read your blog on your myspace about the trouble you had with the video footage.editing/uploading it, whatever .well , the footgae you did manage to sort out here is great!!! chill :-)

  • Tried to post my comments on part two but they disappear . was just saying that the streets remind me of melody maker music paper's reviews of the band of holy joys songs about dark london streets circa late 86 early 87.

  • god what time of night was this? what night of the week?? reminds me of walking around London at 4.30 am with my bro after the Kraftwerk concert at brixton academy in march 2004 .except on that occasion there was still a few souls on the streets.

waht was that ghostly image at 4.31? etc etc...

were trying to find a late bar?

    you could of got attacked!!!

  • I think it was a Wednesday, I can't remember now! I was in the City between 2-5am, as can be seen by the time on the clock at St. Pauls.

The image at 4:31 was a terrible attempt at capturing the "mini-Monument" at Paternoster Square.
