looks excellent, you can always use boat acrylic to get a base on the wood so its easy cleaning .(but then again they might eat the wood and toxics

However I dislike the term cage :) I would refer to it as a bird house or bird room- for these lovely birds are part of the family and not prisoners :) :)

Amazing... I'm going to try and get my mom a lovebird for her birthday. She loves birds but she wants them to be able to fly around. Btw how much are lovebirds and I'm going to build a big cage with mesh screening like in windows. Is tht good? Because u have bars I'm just wondering

@NewBoyzL3gacyLover. Thanks, I have 2 cockateils and a few parakeets and they all chew up the wood of the cage. I just let them decorate their cage however they want. lol

i have built a custom cage for my african greys and they chew through the wood and i thought that to but upon my recent visit to the vet i found out they had mouth rot check them out 1 of mine died from this just givin some advice to a fellow bird lover :)

Thanks again my friend. It cost about $50 to make. We had to drill over 1,200 holes, so I got Miss Martino set up on the drill press and she did a great job. The birds are chewing certain parts of the cage so I'm continually replacing dowels. I let them out to fly around the house a few times a day, so I don't think they're trying to escape. I think that chewing through their cage is a natural instict to try to make their home a little bigger.
