Quelle belle combinaison ... Chambon et Ristenpart.

  • @gillwilkinsongw ... Thank you for your nice comment. ... I have had this record for over 44 years ... I bought it in London back in 1967 from the World Record Club ... a mail order ... I used to live in Ealing then ... and I still think this one of my most treasured records.

  • Can't stop repeating this, its heaven, I'm addicted to it!

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • Celestial.

  • This is just beautiful, so serene and dignified. Love the pizzicato accompaniament.

The scratch is a minor annoyance; soon over. Thank you so much for this recording.

  • mooi en nog is mooi,le rêve,

  • Dear Bison 69

It is very healthy for a seriously very sick man - as you very clearly are - to look in the verbal mirror you made of yourself and cleverly: abusing my nickname.

    ***************************************************************************************

By the way: I play the piano, the flute, the drums (in a Dixieland Orchestra) and write a lot of poetry, articles, short and longer stories and feel very happy.

  • @mitubo321 ... Thank you for your nice comment. Yes, Karl Ristenpart had a very personal style, which I love cery much.

  • A very unusual version with that pizzicato, but sounds great

  • The scratch is neither here nor there, Chambon played it brilliantly. Vinyl is so much better than CD's even on YouTube! Lol Daphne

  • I've just heard this played on Classic FM in their Hall of Fame countdown, it is just heavenly, and this version despite the scratch is absolutely lovely. I've died and gone to heaven, I shall have to buy it. Now going to Play.com to troll through the Albinoni albums till I find it. So gorgeous. Thanks SO much.

  • @nakedBison69 Don't you know how stupid you sound? There is no arguing with people like you because you either do not listen to what I am saying or are just being an idiot who thinks they are being cute or clever or funny. All this talk about Nazi propaganda and hating religious Jews - where are you getting that from - maybe your own self-hatred or insecurity? Who knows? At this point you have embarrassed yourself and made a mockery of this wonderful site so just leave already.

  • @Oboecity ... Thank you for you kind comments.

  • This is so beautiful.. Thank you for posting.

  • Meravilhoso;estupendo!!!!!!!!!!

  • i now love albinoni almost as much as vivaldi

  • @jamiebyrne77 .... thank you, the music is so transcendent, the oboe is heavenly I think. Soor about the scratch, but it comes from a "Vinyl" record and very old (1966)

  • @livesteam You don't ever ... -ever- have to apologize for something this utterly beautiful. It is quite simply an amazing piece of music, and a -beautiful- rendition.

  • hermoso esta obrasªª

  • @nakedBison69 You forgot that I'm also the closest thing to a friend that a troll like you could ever have.

  • richardKranium the friendless troll has no friends

  • @nakedBison69 You are so sad, I pity you...

  • richardKranium is pitifully pathetic

  • @nakedBison69 is a naked Bison and an empty destroyer. He better plays aninstrument himself IF there is a bit of talent in his body and soul. Richard Kranium better forgets these types of strange - and inof view: sick - answers of a stranger.

  • janosj the talentless, empty destroyer is a strange and sick stranger

  • Can anyone please tell me how or where i can find this piece as the way it sounds. I have been listening to it for the entire day and can`t get enough of it. The "pizzicati" add to something that is so "special" , i think. I imagine being between two worlds of acceptance; When your conscience cannot accept the fact, all thou it did happen. That moment when you just "stare in the air" , when grasp of reality is at most slippery. Thank you for posting it.

  • Jacques Chambon's performance is absolutely stunningly beautiful. This oboe peace has been with me for over 30 years now, and never fails to move me, almost to tears. Never heard any other oboeist playing more beautiful than Chambon!

    Thanks for reminding me!

  • Luckily there is one city without freeways and traffic jams, only cooing pigeons, clutter of feet and waves clucking...this divine city looks even more splendid in those ravishing pictures from the past. And the glorious Albinoni, what can one say? This has made my day, I've never seen it before. How come this video has only 21000 views....? Anyway thankyou livestem, it was a revelation....Btw is this the 'real' version with klicking on the violins like that?

  • @zgopify Thank you for your kind comments. As far as I know the "pizzicati" of the violins is/was intentional.

  • @livesteam

Sir - to me it does not sound like violins, but a mandolin.

    tac

  • @zgopify perhaps that's the solution to global warming. Let the ice caps melt and the flood waters rise and flood every city so we can all go around on boats instead of cars. Although not really a solution, more of a consequence with a happy ending. Certainly a magical dream for sure.

  • What spectacular beautiful music and how wonderful to see all those lovely paintings instead of something supposed to be 'funny', you did that very well indeed!

  • @mozzrt Thank you for your kind words .... But all the merit goes the composer, the painter and the interpreters ... I merely made the choice and put the puzzle together.

  • Whenever I hear this piece, I think of my late husband, who was a professional oboist. I go into another world....

  • Vielen dank.

  • a pure beauty!

  • Thank You !

  • mervejieuse.

  • I was in love with Vivaldi music but now albinoni´s music too the lute is tender.

  • The oboe is one of those fascinating instruments, in the right hands it can be so transcendental, in the wrong hands does raelly sound like a duck. It has such a piecing yet mellow timbre that really cuts through an orchestra, even the larger orchestras of the later romantic period.

  • Thank you for your comment. You're right, the Oboe is fascinating, heavenly almost. It is one of my favourite instrument, together with the Cello.

  • @cobcon Thats the most precise description of the oboe i've ever heard. From transcendental to quack.

  • Heavenly music

  • Thank You !

  • I hear the high pitch noise too... it sounds like RF interference... if I didn't know any better, I would have thought it was taped from an FM broadcast. Though, it could be picking up anywhere from the phono cartridge to the ripping hardware. A record made in '62 does not automatically mean poor sound. I have a vinyl record (stereo) made from magnetic tape recorded in 1957 which will knock the socks of any CD.

  • Comment removed

  • I gave this a low score because of the poor recording quality.

  • Of course the quality is low, because it is a "Vinyl" recording from 1962. I used this because I think this interpretation is particularily beautiful, and has never been remastered on CD.

  • Okay. Is there a way you can remove the whistling? It actually hurt my tender ears. =)

    It is a lovely version.

  • I listened to it carefully as full volume, I can't hear any whistling sound, unless it is the Oboe .... (lol). But then it's supposed to be there, since it is an Oboe concerto. No honestly I cannot hear anything except for the "surface" noise.

  • There is a high-pitched whistle that makes this unbearable to listen to and it's electronic feedback of some sort, it's not the surface noise.

  • I think you must have a problem with your sound card. I've checked again and I have no whistling sound. I also checked through my other PC and again, NO whistling....This is weird.

  • Maybe the high-pitched electronic feedback sound is what you mean by "surface sound".

  • No surface sound is the sound that the stylus of a turntable picks-up from a worn vinyl record.

  • I listened to it again and have to say that it's impossible to listen to because the high-pitched ringing is truly unbearable. How old are you? Have you ever heard of the this: type the following into Google "teen high-pitch sound". I'm not a teen, but I can hear the same noise as teens. I wonder if this might be the same phenomenon.

  • Hello there. I am 72. The sound you hear in your ears, could be a condition called "Tinnatus".... This can occur when having been exposed to very loud noises (exceeding 120 dB) which could have damaged the inner ear. Kid sometimes have it because playing their music devices such as I-pod, Walkmans etc at very loud volume.

  • No, the high-pitched feedback sound is clearly in this recording. I'm 100 percent positive you can't hear it. But believe me, it's there.

  • I'll take your word for it, then. Sorry, but there's nothing I can do about it.

  • regardless of any background noise, this music is simply breathtakingly beautiful, and further evidence that 18th century Central European music is the greatest music ever written

  • yes but we must find why, which is the secret hidided behind this music.

  • @nakedBison69 you are so right

  • thank you :-)

  • Which part then?

  • I can't believe I have this recording!!!

  • questi erano oboisti con la o maiuscola

  • This is beautiful!

  • Albinoni is great composer! Why I never heard about him before listening his recordings on YT?

  • I love your video montage. Beautiful imagery. Thank you

  • Canaletto-Albinoni.

  • Karl Reistenpart made some of the most enchanting recordings of all time; it would be wonderful to have more of them available via YouTube if possible. My favorite was his recording of Haydn Symphonies Nos. 6, 7, & 8 ("Morning," Noon," and "Evening" Symphonies. ) This Albinoni excerpt takes me to a better place.

  • Thank you for you comments. As for more recordings I'll see what I can do.

  • I totally agree, I was for many years in love with that recording! He made much more Haydn, he was sort of a

magician, he filled these works with great depth.

My favourite was the Mozart Serenade KV 203 with the Marches KV 408. He always took me to a better place too!

One of the very best chamber orchesta-conductors.

    His music came from inside.

He deserves to be more famous. Thank you!

  • it's nice to here albinoni that is'nt that dang adagio in g minor sure it's nice but i get sick of seeing albinonni it is the only thing that anybody cares for that he did'nt do....

  • Very beautifull!

  • Thank You for your comment.

  • Very fine music-making, although it was not

authentic and on period instruments, it was light,

stylish and profound, and deserves not to be

    forgotten.

I hope more records and videos will be sent of

this great conductor, who excelled in works of

Haydn, Mozart, Bach and JC Bach.

  • Thank you.

    Beautiful.

    :)
