Can someone tell me the exact order of baking/painting/glazing, and the times youre supposed to bake, from start to finish?: I have a bunch of unbaked polymer clay, and after Googling the whole itnernet I couldn't find the instructions I watned. Someone PLEASE help me!

@xxpensxipodsxx well usually polymer clay bakes at 275 and it's usually 15 minutes [i go for 20 minutes depending on how thick my creation is]. It really depends on what brand ur clay is. i know bake shop, fimo, and sculpey is 275 or around that temp, same with the 15 minutes. i always bake my clay before painting. if you get gloss varnish you can actually mix that with your paint so you can save time on painting and glazing. you can even use fixative to finish off your piece. i hope this helps

@kenzie2315 You bake the polymer clay for 15 mins per 1/4 inch of thickness at 275 F (it says it so on the back of all the clay packages) so that it turns more sculpture like instead of playdough like :)

regular clay like playdoh doesnt air dry. then there is clay that does air dry, and these polymer clays have to be baked in an oven to get really hard. they get hard just being in the air a bit, but its not the same

How do you make your clay so flexible? When I take my clay out, it takes me AGES to soften it up. Even though if I do soften it up, its not as soft as yours! >.<

@tamaloverific You can buy a softener, or If you are really desperate, you can buy Bakeshop by Sculpey clay. It is REALLY soft and workable, but it isn't great if you want to roll snakes out alot!

@xXxLiTtLeLoNlEyXxX That's not right.... go to Michaels or AC Moore and then go to the clay section and look for POLYMER clay, they should come in small packets with tons of colors. If you're not completely sure, then just order it from online like the actual stores, ebay, etc. Ask one of the workers to help you too. They should be about $2 for each packet of clay depending on the type! Hope this helped! :) Have a good day! :)

FIMO buy the pasta, is a very convenient colored clay and then baked in the oven when the building is ready .. look it up on youtube and you will see tutorials:)

@SuperBunnyTime bake it in your oven for 275 degrees f. for 15 minutes... when they are done baking you glaze them using sculpey or fimo glaze (get it from michaels or ur local craft store) let it dry and you're done!! :D
