  • I remember X-mas morning 1984 and waking up to a gift-wrapped package with Batman & The Flash inside. I was slightly disappointed only for the fact that I was expecting Robin instead lol

  • Had all of them.

  • Lol I still have these! I have Superman, Batman, Robin and Green Lantern and they still function!

  • @NoWarningShot I had all those same guys when i was a kid too..dont have them now..wish i did for my son...i also had lex luthor and i had a real old batmobile that i foolishly sold one day in a mock third grade classroom auction for some b.s. classrooms bucks that never got me anything worth having...my mom is still pissed...and im 29 years old lol..//dont lose yours man./

  • Look out Superman! Joker has a hammer!

  • Yeah Superman. Show them acorns what's up.

  • I remember I wanted these so bad! They looked so cool.

  • i know what their super powers are! DANCING!!!

  • @ 0:04 Whoa, early CGI.

  • The Superman was awesome! Played with him for hours when I was little

  • I use to play "The Man of Steel" from the SUPER POWERS collection when I was a kid ?

  • im 17 and i love those vintage toys lol

  • I was 9 when I got the Non-Super Powered Joker, Penguin, and Robin. They were fun, but cheaply made. I don't remember Kenner making cheap toys except for the DC lineup.

  • @WebVMan Those were the Toy Biz Super Heroes collection - Toy Biz bought the rights and copied Kenner's figures but without the spring action features

  • I had that superman when I was a kid, it was my favorite action figure for a long time.

  • This was THE toy line for me as a young child!

  • No love for Hawkman. He's a cool dude.

  • @GadGades He was awesome!! When you squeezed his legs together his wings flapped...cool...

  • superman had the power to be shit!

  • I remember this commercial. After it was over, I ran into the other room all excited to tell my mom. She simply said - "I heard, I heard..." :)

  • @sayscalled

Taahaa. Apparentley we had the same Mom.

  • I own all 35 of these(some are MOC including Cyborg) and all vehicles(with original boxes) and the Hall of Justice.

  • that was 1 of the best versions of Brainiac i can remember!

  • goes to show how hard these figures are to findit took me ages to get them but i picked up batman and superman and the batmobile for $120 but still cant find robin.

  • God I wish I was stuck in early elementary school 4-Ever. Best times ever. Adulthood is way overrated.

  • Brings back memories...Superman, Batman, The Joker and Penguin. Good ole 80's.

  • Que lindos recuerdos por dios, veo el comerial y me acuerdo cuando era chico, que buenismos que estan, ademas tengo algunos de esos muñecos actualmente hasta la nave de superman, un saludo a todos desde uruguay

  • MAN !!!! I HAD ALL OF THESE BUT THE PENGUIN !!!! THIS WAS AROUND '84. AND I'M 31 NOW. MEMORIES....

  • yup they had great toys in the 80s :)

  • Some great memories.

  • The Super Powers Collection was awesome!

I had Supes, Batman, Martian Manhunter and Brainiac. Good times, good times.

  • Oh, my God...I think I had that Superman figure when I was little! That's crazy, man...makes me wonder when the hell we're supposed to be getting that time machine.

  • @sjm757 Yeah I had that same Superman, I think I still have him somewhere. I've kept a lot of my old toys. lol

  • I'm happy because I got Aquaman from eBay, great figures!

From which TV show are these commercials (We'll return after this messages)?

  • @DarkseidSkeletor I loved Hawkman the best. Sooooo realistic when compared to the comic. Cool colors.

  • @CaptainBuckRogers Absolutely! Now we continue Super Powers legacy with DC Universe Classics!

  • @DarkseidSkeletor Looks like Dungeons & Dragons on CBS.

  • @skeletal13 Thanks!

  • @DarkseidSkeletor How much are the little comics that they come with worth...i have a few of them...Batman, Joker, & Flash.

  • @MrSlik25 If you take a look on eBay you can find some of them at $3. And may others will cost a little bit more.

  • @DarkseidSkeletor *many others

  • @DarkseidSkeletor

The bumper is definitely from CBS-TV and the toyline debut in 1984, so I'd assume it was from either DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, POLE POSITION or SATURDAY SUPERCADE (w/-DRAGON'S LAIR) since it is a boy's themed merchandising campaign, and these 3 programs were recorded and saved by many fans. I hope that narrowed it down a bit!

  • @BrooklynChivalry Thanks for the info!

  • I had a bunch of these figures when I was a kid in the 80's and I played with them until they either broke or I lost them. I even had a Clark Kent figure that you had to order from a Sears catalog. The bad part about all this is that I recently found out that had I kept them in the package they would worth a lot of money now. Especially that Clark Kent figure I think it's worth thousands. But as a kid you don't think of shit like that you buy toys to play with not save. Good memories though.

  • @shortstopshep Good memories like these is worth millions.

  • I want Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Captain Marvel, The Flash, Hawkman, and Darkseid.

  • I had these too.. still got Brainiac, only one left, but used to have the a lot of 'em.. oh, I would pay ridiculously big amounts of money to have them back.. but they don't make 'em anymore, of course.

Now, why DC wouldn't bring either the classic SPC or an updated version to market.. that's unexplainable.. it seems unlikely that they would remain on the shelves for long; there's a specialized toy-collectors' market.. and well, kids gotta luv 'em too..

  • Look up Cherry Bomb Toys in Victoria BC.

  • I still have the Superman. (Probably the second or third my mom bought me I wore out the previous!) It was the most cherished toy of my early childhood.

  • I had the Superman and Lex Luthor figures. Pretty cool!

  • wait joker but no batman...

  • these were some of the best 80's toys

  • i had superman

  • shit i remember owning super man and joker as a kid..i guess my dad didnt know it wouldve been a better match to get me super man and lex

  • that intro song rocks!!!! so did these toys!!!!

  • I'm pretty sure the dark haried kid is David Mendenhall, who played the voice of "Daniel", Spike's son, in Transformers the Movie 1986, the REAL movie.

  • The 1986 film is soooo much better then that new piece of shit

  • Please tell me you mean the 1978 film, yes? The only Superman film that came out around 1986 was Superman IV: The Quest for Peace in 1987, and it was ATROCIOUS.

  • I was talking about Transformers :P

  • They used the motto from the "Legion of Doom" Superfriends series: "Coming from the furthest reaches of the Universe...". What's funny is that, from this roster of characters, only three of them come from outside Earth (Superman, Hawkman and Brainiac) -- three and a half, if you consider earthling Green Lantern got his power ring from a planet named "Oa".

  • thanks for posting! brings back warm memories!

  • PLEASE any dudes out there remember these small Animal Humanoid toys they had a heat sensitive patch on there chest, if you rubbed it with your finger it would display the element attribute for each...(eg. the turtle guy had a water symbol obviously)

  • thats sounds very familiar...were they rock lords?

  • No they were not rock lords, i remember them these were about 2inches high, pretty small and collectible

  • They were a spin off of Transformers called Battle Beasts. You can find info about them on Wiki easily. I had a Tiger and an Eagle.

  • Battle beasts. ^^ They were originally part of the Transformers line in Japan. Those episodes never aired in the U.S.

Anyway, those were really sweet toys around 1987.

    Google battle beats and X-entertainment.

  • i still own superman, how cool was this collection batmobile.

  • Thank God for e-bay. I'm just missing a few of them.

  • I had that Superman! Loved how you can take his cape off and put it back on.... then I lost it :-(

  • I had the Green Lantern and Superman. Toys used to be cool. Man, a bunch of crap in stores now.

  • Ah, the good ol days. I wasn't alive then but I think I do have that Superman some where..

  • All I know is that any toy that couldn't go into the bath tub with me I considered worthless. I mean really, I'd take a bunch of "made in China" rubber dinosaurs and lizards over a remote control car any day.

  • i still have that superman.....yeah i know hahaha

  • I use to collect 1 Superman figure when I was 8 years old ?

  • omg those toys were badass my big brother gave me one when i was six but i lost it now :(

  • I had Flash and Green Lantern. Those were so cool!

  • I still have the Superman figure. It is the only toy I still possess from my early childhood.

  • I had both the Flash and Superman, when I was a kid. Still have them somewhere.
