It is a fact that only one of the cast members is actually from New Jersey. The rest are from either New York and Rhode Island. Not New Jersey.

If MTV wanted to portray the reality of the Jersey shore, the casting directors should have taken people that are from New Jersey who either have a beach house or live all year long.
