Talk about fuckin' up a great piece of music, nice intro jan, and nice tempo. He's a great player, anyhow. The guy on keys is brilliant. Totally mad.
The guitar player mess up at the 24 sec. mark of the song .... look at the keyboard player's face, but its ok the songs goes well after a few seconds later.
I saw these guy's live in 1973(Baltimore, Md) .They completely blew me away. It's great to be able to see them again as I remembered. Thanks You Tube and lethrneck4
@jjads1 I was at that show to in the Baltimore Civic Center.I saw Wild Bill Hagey in the mens bathroom sharing some lines of cocaine with Marty Bass and Bob Turk that evening as well!
Wow! Pierre van der Linden was (and is) the Buddy Rich of rock drumming. Sad that van Leer's years of smoking ruined his falsetto---he used to have a four octave range. Still a fine keyboardist and flautist. Akkerman is technically a much better guitarist now than he was then, and he was phenomenal then! Bert Ruiter was a fine R&B style bassist, but using a pick? Great song, great band, great video!
Jan Akkerman...wow!

The guy that's doing the yodeling... man, he looks possessed! Sorry I went and watched this. Those spooky eyes are gonna give me nightmares!
Mamas, don't let your children grow up to be another keyboard singer.

I heard this song on sirius at a store and couldn't get it out of my head. This has become my all time favorite song

Mad stuff! You have to admire someone crazy enough to YODEL on a rock record! Kind of like a warped Jethro Tull, with high ENERGY.

It was a lot better before they tried to play the song faster each time. They've never played it the right way since the original.

The guitarist is Jan Akkerman, ...the best!

The guitarist doesn't play the intro especially accurately.

Doesn't play accurately?
You know "variations'?

The intro is accurate, just keep counting the beat, he's really the best.
Just confusing his colleagues by his unexpected moves.
Jan Akkerman never played the same piece twice the same way, he doesn't like being bored :-)

Listened to this on the schoolbus alongside Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" with my trusty Motorola am/fm
9v radio....it's a pity sound quality has gone up; while quality sound is getting harder to find....
If you like this, try Triumvirat-another Dutch group
who did a few tours of the US...
Rock will never be the same, thanks to Focus,
and others like them.
