It's illegal to put anything over your license plate...even transparent glass. So if a cop sees this even when it's turned off, you'll get a ticket for obscuring your plate.
@DJHcom While it might vary between state to state, I'm fairly certain you can't have anything over your license plate period. Cops love to write tickets for idiots who buy those clear plastic "camera shields" that don't actually work.

I don't know how the cops would feel about that one,then again who cares.Here in Australia we just use hairspray it's illegal but hard to detect,it creates a massive white blot on the photo when the flash goes off! Cheers

Not bad, but you would need to know about the red light camera ahead of time to energize the polarizing film. Speed cameras are up high, why not just make a cover thats always polarized when viewed from the top down. The technology is widely used already for laptop privacy filters. All you'd need to do is make a more durable version of that film and size it to cover the license plate.

@3312cdfp5674 Not only is the Lambo going to move faster than a Helicopter, and out-maneuver a helicopter, but the police only send out helicopters for high priority chase suspects. People who are actually criminals, not just speeders going too fast to catch up. Besides, it takes time to get a helicopter off the ground.
@Cordius You'd be supprised at what cops can do. Even if they cant catch him in a car they can call out helicopters, depending on where you live they would call out the special units. Here they have charger cops. I dont think it'd be too hard to spot a lambo from a chopper
@kpak44wh I know they CAN call out a chopper, but they don't do it as often as people think. When it comes to running from the cops, if you aren't completely out of sight within 30 seconds, you might as well pull over. Then they can't nab you for evading (unless its obvious)
And if he's still on your tail after 30 seconds, chances are you aren't getting away. He's radio'd backup, and now it's a full on chase.
Believe me dude, I've ran and gotten away on quite a few occasions, all by car.
@Cordius ya but the road isnt a track, its full of people and traffic which makes the lambo hard to go around, and police got radar and they can call for backup to close the road ahear or set traps, or even call for helicopter to chase you. best way is to get one of these radars to get the cops, one you get near a cop you loser your speed to the speed limit then off you go
@hazemvirus Cops can only call for backup if they know where you're going. If you stay on a highway, you're GOING to get caught. If you stay on side streets and outhandle and outrun him, you're fine.

Of course, standard issue Ford Crown Vic's are dog slow, hitting 60mph in 8+ seconds and even more pathetic as you head to triple digits. A late model (2007+) stock V6 Camry of Accord hits 60mph in about 6seconds.

Not bad, but you would need to know about the red light camera ahead of time to energize the polarizing film. Speed cameras are up high, why not just make a cover thats always polarized when viewed from the top down. The technology is widely used already for laptop privacy filters. All you'd need to do is make a more durable version of that film and size it to cover the license plate.

@3312cdfp5674 Not only is the Lambo going to move faster than a Helicopter, and out-maneuver a helicopter, but the police only send out helicopters for high priority chase suspects. People who are actually criminals, not just speeders going too fast to catch up. Besides, it takes time to get a helicopter off the ground.

@Cordius You'd be supprised at what cops can do. Even if they cant catch him in a car they can call out helicopters, depending on where you live they would call out the special units. Here they have charger cops. I dont think it'd be too hard to spot a lambo from a chopper

@kpak44wh I know they CAN call out a chopper, but they don't do it as often as people think. When it comes to running from the cops, if you aren't completely out of sight within 30 seconds, you might as well pull over. Then they can't nab you for evading (unless its obvious)
And if he's still on your tail after 30 seconds, chances are you aren't getting away. He's radio'd backup, and now it's a full on chase.
Believe me dude, I've ran and gotten away on quite a few occasions, all by car.

@Cordius ya but the road isnt a track, its full of people and traffic which makes the lambo hard to go around, and police got radar and they can call for backup to close the road ahear or set traps, or even call for helicopter to chase you. best way is to get one of these radars to get the cops, one you get near a cop you loser your speed to the speed limit then off you go

@hazemvirus Cops can only call for backup if they know where you're going. If you stay on a highway, you're GOING to get caught. If you stay on side streets and outhandle and outrun him, you're fine.

@Cordius but the Gallardo is wide and low, you cant drive around in the city like lets say a Golf GTI, there are cars, trucks, idiots who have no idea how to drive. you cant do highspeed with all of these around, unless you want to install AT guns and machineguns into your Gallardo! lol

@Cordius i know i've seen one but in traffic cars just too close to each other and there is almost no space for a Golf GTI to move around and you talking about a Gallardo which is bigger than the GTI, what im saying, drive fast but have a radar so when a it catches that radar the cop use you just slow down and when its gone you fly as much as you want

@hazemvirus If you're doing over 120-130 in a car, when the radar detector goes off, you're already caught, and might as well not slow down. I'd put my money in a Gallardo vs a GTI vs a Cop Car any day.

@hazemvirus Someone with a supercar, duh. Hell, my 240 can do 120 with no problem. I'll get there in seconds in fifth gear, without dropping gears, from normal highway speed. It's not hard if your car is even remotely quick.

@Cordius im not saying you cant get to 120 mph, you can do it with any car other than super car, like c350, 335i or even A4/S4 but why would you drive 120 mph? i drive around 80-85 mph cuz the area i live in its jammed with traffic.

I was in Gallardo once, I can say it has better visibility than my Sti, or Legacy.
Well I wouldn't give a crap if people were taking pictures and staring at it, don't see any problem with it at all, and driving a a big SUv or big saloon u will have much more trouble than this car.

"Well, no, we didn't."
Bam, your lawyer motions to dismiss the charges on lack of evidence, and the judge has no choice. I've been there, done that.
