  • Kudos to representative Miller for speaking truth and standing up for the working person. As one of his constituents I applaud his work in congress. dmph9.

  • Hmmm, how are all you libs liking this little rant from King George now?? Where is he ranting now about Obama's 14 Trillion dollar deficit???? He signed on to all the stimulus packages, health care & all the spending the Dems are doing. Funny, he is silent now.

  • @imsailing2 The rebublicans tanked the economy...the worst since the great depression and every economists agreed that we had to spend our way out of it to get the country back on firm ground. Where is your sanity?

  • @zetacplus: ROFL Still think all those brilliant economists were right? Spending our way out of the recession, the Keynesian way, is just working wonders isn't?

"The republicians tanked the economy" Yes, they did some very stupid things. They abandoned Conservatism & the free market. But compared to Dems they are still choir boys.

To stay on point, isn't it funny how the Dems, like Georgy boy were all upset about Republican deficit spending? But now such spending is stimulative?

  • George Miller is the man!!!!

  • Yeah, great. Miller sure is a spending hawk and a great American. And now he wants to steal your 401k - I'll bet you'll all be big fans of his once that becomes law.

    Idiots.

  • yay that was great!!

  • George kicks ass. I think he needs to be on the presidential ticket. Maybe not President, as I don't know all of his knowledge, but maybe as VP. I'm sure he could incite people across the country. =]

  • give em the truth serum george......

  • I am on social security. I say take a trillion dollars away from the 7000 riches families and put it back into social security. Line item veto gives Bush another blank check to cut out what he doesn't like and pass what the republicans want. I say NO to line item veto.

  • I'm surprisd the mike hasn't melted down from the lava pouring out of his mouth. That rhetoric is hot.

  • It's a mic, not a mike. Such a typical young Republican, likes to talk but doesn't know what he's talking about.

  • lol i love it!! They have run the country into a ditch lol

  • fantastic. go george!

  • give 'em both barrels, george!!

  • what's a line item veto?

  • It gives the President power to veto specific parts of a bill presented to him (or her;-) rather then vetoing the entire thing. Bills often adress more than one issue and many say the line item gives the executive too much power to shape legislation. Look it up in wiki. (Bush doesn't use veto though. He uses "signing statements" which are basically illegal.

  • Finally, Somebody speaks the truth. I hope everybody gets to hear this.

  • tell it like it is!

  • Representative Miller, this statement by you is about the most real thing I've heard in Congress lately.

  • I'd like to see a few people in the press point out that Clinton was granted a line item veto, it was taken away when it was ruled un-constitutional. The Executive doesn't have the right to manipulate legislation. Bush is even an idiot or a liar when he makes this an issue. They KNOW they can't have a line item veto.

  • I think you forget that-was-then-this-is-Bush. You can have a line item veto when you stack the court and have complete control over both houses. The executive doesn't have the right to manipulate legislation, but the monolithic executive can do anything he damn well pleases.
