Most do not. The vast majority of people in the US have a short-form BC in their possession. The long-form is kept by the county in which you were born. The long form is always signed by the doctor. No, a child can not give up his US citizenship, no matter what the parent's intent under US law. If he was ever officially adopted in Indonesia and gained Indonesian citizenship, he would then have held dual citizenship UNDER US LAW. It does not matter what Indonesian law said at the time because he did not run to become President of Indonesia. Under US law, he would have held dual Indonesian citizenship until the age of 21. He then would have had to give up US citizenship to keep the other.

the constitution does not accept this. the job of congress is to uphold the constitution when it comes time for them to swear the president elect into office.
